Btw my biggest gripe with Minthara is actually her voice. It's rather deep voice that's indeed a bit masculine. I still overlook that in the name of producing the best offspring though.

Also worth mentioning Minthara is the only one who isn't willing to share bed with anybody, including Halsin. If you hate Halsin rapist behavior, the only logical course of action is to romance Minthara.

During my first playthrough, I was like "okay, okay, it's a gigapozzed game, but if you try your best to ignore all that (or better yet, install the NoAlphabets mod), it's the the best game ever... or at least game of the decade".

After my second playthrough, I'm kinda like "meh".

Replay value ain't that high. I first played as a Human Male Paladin with an Oath of Devotion, did all the goodey-two-shoes good boy stuff. My second playthrough was as a Half-Orc dual-classed Oathbreaker Paladin + Warlock combo, an it was an evil playthrough... and honestly? Meh. Replay value isn't that high.
The second playthrough made me even more acutely aware of the game's serious flaws. Also, compared to the good playthrough, the evil playthrough felt kinda lonely. While the first playthrough felt like an epic adventure - albeit one laced with pozzed woke propaganda and way too much horniness for my taste - the second playthrough felt kinda meh. The magic just wasn't there anymore.

Yes Larian done a huge miss in how they conducted evil playthroughs. I get most people don't want an evil playthrough for first time but it's essential to give the game replayability and Larian decided to throw that away by making exterminating the grove suck completely.

BG1&2 aren't even the first instances of Drow in CRPGs tho. Drizzt was significantly darker, bordering on a near-onyx color, in Menzoberranzan:


menzoberranzan has some of my favorite paper dolls of any game btw

I use one of these (not C, though; its lips are disproportionately large IMO), along with a mod that gives her a proper Drow color scheme. The goofy purple skin combined with the ugly, yellow-tinted hair are among the many things that make her seem like a joke. Not to mention it looks like an invisible force is constantly pulling the corners of her mouth as far apart as possible.

I always kill her immediately upon meeting her, but the least she could do is not be an eyesore beforehand.

Minthara is a strong woman (not in the sense of being a woke girlboss) who'd be an adequate match to produce gigachad offspring. People who can't appreciate somebody like Minthara is condemned to reproduce soyboys.
