All Japanese companies have always been. Crapcom just didn't go out of their way to prevent it until tiddies were flopping about in the games on streams because it costs money to combat.

No, I'm not interested in paying to edit my character's appearance. No, I don't want to pay to fast travel or recruit higher-level pawns that some other player took the time to make anyway.

And no, I don't care that you can waste time in the game to "earn" the smaller amounts of the in-game currencies just to use features that should be standard anyway. Nor do I care that the first game had the same sort of greedy crap before it fell into the discount bin.

It would've actually been kinda based if the game had no respec option at all. Respec features should not be the standard.

Jesus Christ. I thought the ******** ***** and ****** *** youtube e-celebs **** was enough to make this DOA for me. Micro-transactions to edit your characters appearance and fast travel in a primarily single player game. This is F2P MMO tier **** literally these are all real cash shop items in ******* SWTOR. Half of them become free when you pay the 60 bucks for a sub so having them locked in a full price game is beyond insanity. Are Capcom secretly pro-piracy and trying to get people to pirate the game? Depending on how poorly it's received overall they're gonna have that poor jap in the DMC mines for eternity.

DragonFable?, **** that takes me back. I remembered the game not too long ago too. But all things considered, even IF Dragon's Dogma 2 was some masterpiece, the simple fact that it runs like a three legged dog is enough to call it a terrible game, there's no excuse for it. I'm not buying a cutting edge graphics card just to play your game, Crapcom, and I sure feel bad for console owners who have to play a 30FPS game in 2024.

Was putting together a compatibility guide for playing the game under Linux/Steam Deck which required me to use various Proton versions. Apparently each of these counted as an individual PC and triggered the Denuvo tamper protection. Now I can't play at all on any of my systems for the crime of trying to help more users enjoy the game.

I don't know how CAPCOM thinks this is going to work. Especially when it seems that people with sensible PC configs are having a hard time sustaining 60 FPS.

The line I draw is slightly before "if you die in the game it uninstalls from your computer", so I approve of only having 1 character and your choices at creation not being able to be altered.
