Ps5 is an expensive piece of **** when I already have a pc. Only reddit man children would buy a console just to play this watered down ****** game. I'll most likely play it without paying as well when it comes to pc.
1. They should have launched it cross platform. Paying out of their contract would probably be better than all the lost sales.
2. They are obsessed with graphics but the graphics aren't good, make ps3-4 graphics but with all the other ****.
3. Don't put gay ****** **** in your game. Cloud dressing up as a woman and hanging out with those gay gym dudes was a joke, we are laughing at them. It wasn't supposed to be a socially acceptable thing.
4. Fire the weird kingdom hearts guy and anyone else associated with him, his stories are gay and ********.
5. Don't pay for dei consultants.
6. Don't add gay annoying oc characters to the game. Don't somehow make aeris more annoying than the original.

Another issue is that FF7 Rebirth is a Western styled photo realistic movie game/Assasin's Creed open world. It's not going to do well in Japan. Same issue with FF16. People want more traditional JRPGs, not being sold non-JRPGs with a JRPG franchise brand name slapped on it.

But from my perspective to go around and "offer" something is not the same thing as "acquiescing a request."
The point of my initial response was a joke, he doesn't offer them because he's not gay, but by saying just "English" it makes it sound like it's common knowledge he offers them to others. But it now sounds like you're debating whether Vergil actually hates English enough to not offer the same. It makes no sense to me.

The original FF7 was revolutionary. It (at the time) high fidelity prerendered backgrounds on console, and then state-of-the-art FMV prerendered cinematics on console. It standardized the JRPG genre as we know it today, with an emphasis on heavy story, character introspection, and lots and lots of cutscenes and dialogue compared to "gameplay", with the gameplay being limited to combat and maybe some minigames. This is the model that most JRPGs thereafter followed and are clones of FF7's format. After FF7's mega success, JRPG devs defected from the cartridge bound Nintendo consoles to the PS1, which allowed for FF7's graphical fidelity and for its large story size because of the larger disc format (FF7 was 3 discs). FF7 was also a part of a wave of moody, psychological Japanese pop-culture entertainment that began with Evangelion's black swan success in 1995, leading to a plethora of anime and JRPGs in a similar vein, FF7 included.

EDIT: also forgot to mention that FF7 is responsible for kickstarting the "AAA" wave. It had a massive budget at the time, and a huge amount of money was invested into its marketing campaign.

I think the game is good but it's not the bestest thing ever. Aesthetically it has not aged well compared to the two PS1 Final Fantasies that released after, FF8 and FF9. The prerendered backgrounds still look good, but the extremely low poly chibi character models are unattractive. FF8 went for more more realistically proportioned character models, and FF9 managed to make its deformed character models look good. Story wise, the game peaks with the diselpunk dystopia on disc 1, which is visually imaginative. There is a reason so much of the FF7 franchise and fandom focuses on Midgar. The rest of the game is just so tonally and artistically different; forgettable (or even silly) compared to where you spend most of disc 1. The world outside feels empty and small. You are meandering around and it's not clear what the threat or urgency is or what you should be doing. No one's fondest memories are of disc 2.

Game is out for PC on the 23rd! Get ready to play my fellow poor weebs! I am extremely hyped as I've poured a ton of time into FF7 Remake. I have intentionally not looked at a ton of content from the game so I can go through blind the first time. I'm only missing 11 achievements from remake and I've heard rebirth is even more tedious to 100% but I think I will at least write a review for my first play through.
