He's right, because I would realize I'm now a game dev.

Also his job isn't even directly related to game making.

Surprised their HR / Marketing lets them do this (even when woke themselves). That's their CUSTOMERS that they're complaining about. Most contracts have a disrepute clause.

Businesses for the customer are fewer and far between now. The growing attitude is now that customers should be thankful they are paying business and many businesses act like it, from the top of their management, right down to the lower workers. I chalk it up to yet another moral principal that has been slowly flushed down the toilet over the years.

I kind of just assume I'm on lists somewhere. Its a lot easier than trying to hide my identity. I look forward to seeing you all in the gulag.

Yes, in principal of business ethics and customer relations for the over all health of a business. At the end of the day, unless your business is an essential service (and doesn't have competition), customers don't need you (ie they can go without) and society is going to find this fact out very quick when we go into a complete economic collapse.

While I agree, customers are complete asses from time to time (getting more frequent these days), a lot of the problems that cause a customer to be a problem are poor business practices concerning its work ethic and interactions. This may increase backlash with issues from their customers that were created by the business/management/workers themselves.

Sure, there are the people who can never be pleased, are little narcists tantrum throwers, etc... but a lot of it is a growing anger towards businesses who treat customers like they are cattle.

Everyone is technically on a list if they have any presence online (intelligent system collections have been around for a long time). The issue is if you pop up at the top of the list (ie your comments, position, etc... is creating shifts in social opinion) causing them to think they need to take action. Eventually though, everyone will be a target who even speaks counter to the narrative.

also, they're right. The gamedev industry is heavily incestuous, unless you know someone you aren't getting hired in a position that matters. The reason it seems like everyone in a lead position hates gamers is because they do. Chuds aren't welcome.

I remember MCA publicly posting well written job endorsements (he's a good writer) for ******** chics back in like 2014. I copied one almost verbatim (changed the work area) to endorse this girl I worked with back then and it was very well received at some major oil company for her job recruiting process. She paid me lunch afterwards to thank me. Never told this story online (might be completely made up) and I'm rambling already, but the point is that people network in the game industry. Those ******** chics no doubt reneged MCA in his #MeToo era. *****.

yeah

the "***** kids" thing is top-tier persuasive language and it frustrates me. What a great way to say "cutting kid's genitals off is not a threat" and totally turn it around. When they wanna just start openly molesting kids they'll come up with a similar phrase.

I don't think so. As an entrepreneur you have to be humble in order to succeed and that will never change. That will correct itself.

I'm gonna put the above tweet that aweigh posted for people that don't want to make an X account... I'm going to put it in a text format. So that everyone can see it.
Since Matt Walsh got criticism for his anti-video games stance and how he handled his segment on Sweet Baby Inc, one of his producers has been having a Gamergate level meltdown.

Within the past few hours, @gregg_re has demeaned @Grummz, blocked @TheQuartering and @DDayCobra, and called gamers childish and stupid.

Gamers, it's far worse than we thought:

Follow the threads. This gets concerning fast.

At the same time they're directing their spy/security agencies to target gamers, they're paying academics to create a false narrative about the "hazards" our culture and free speech create, and the vermin controlling the Canadian government have started trying to ratify (for the second time, but way worse than the original) legislation that would ultimately allow them to call dissenting and oppositional voices like gamers "terrorists" and potentially jail them for up to a LIFE SENTENCE.
They are feeling like they can get away with going full lefto-fascist.
At the same time, they are afraid they will lose power and never have another chance to enact this evil.

Dark times, brothers...
