To be more on topic to what you were replying to: Freedom of speech was intended for political expression, not a license to promote obscenity. This idea that ALL censorship is inherently evil is post-1960's liberalism being repacked as modern-day "libertarianism" and "classical liberalism".

You cannot reason a person out of a position he did not reason himself into in the first place.

That is what I am talking about ideally. Censorship has a good use when properly applied as some things can not be unseen, or unheard and they do have an effect on people in society, even if at the subconscious level.

Ketheric Thorm. Change him to a female (Father to mother), use the male Alyin model change.
What do you think the reaction would be concerning the scene when Ketheric Thorm is defeated?
It would be interesting to see the double standards be thrown out. I wonder if there would be screams of bloody murder and the like?
Anyway, if anyone is willing to test this and isn't worried about the heat that it may bring, I would love to see the reactions to what I think might be an obvious double standard to the original implementation.

It's the same kind of utopian cope thinking as communists. It does because there's no truth to what he's saying. Nations always have need of masters and his preferred form of government actually fosters the growth of corruption.

This assumes that governments are infallible, yet historically corruption has existed with the masters consistently throughout history.Vergil wrote: β March 10th, 2024, 02:04It does because there's no truth to what he's saying. If man is corruptible, and therefore needs masters, then all you are doing is limiting that corruption to a singular or selective power that will hasten the means to which society becomes corrupt. (ie Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely).
Ultimately, the key to a successful society then becomes morality and a Nation of masters immoral is no better than the immoral nation itself.
If you are implying that Hitler's position was the proper solution for an immoral nation, I think there are problems here even though I agree his initial changes were needed to the system to right the wrong. His solution was needed to control the immorality that was tearing apart the country, ultimately his success was because the people themselves desperately sought this virtuous goal and it is only through a virtuous people that success can be obtained.
This brings us back to the simple fact that a truly free system is only possible if the people themselves are focused on virtue as the people themselves are required to obtain this and no master can establish morality on a people who do not wish it. They must ultimately be separated like the wheat from the husk and the husk cast away into the fire.
I do understand your point, but it is no more valid if the master is corruptible as well and there are no perfect masters here on earth.
Why are there so few good looking armor sets in this game? Once you get ketheric's gear there's really no reason to ever wear anything else.

Larian had to rapidly expand in order to tackle a game of such size, and by that they let in a lot of perverted leftist virtue signallers.
Man, some people are embarrassing. I didn't get my own way, so I am going TANTRUM like a child. Sometimes you wonder if more bullying might have been necessary.
On topic though, the game is decent enough, it reminds me a little of Dragon Age: Origins, 150gb is a ridiculous size though, and even though it's become the norm, I will never say it's acceptable.
The only part that I really dislike is the children in the game, mostly because I'm racist and I don't like anything that doesn't look like a white human, but if we can't actively arrest them, kill them, or whatever, why add them in the game at all? I guess you can vicariously deal with them, though I won't say anything more on that point.
All in all, 8/10, I would say.

1.2 TB? Try 1.5 TB, no joke, they released GOG patches that try to make you have that much free to install. CD Prokekt blames Larian, Larian seems to blame CD Projekt, neither of them are doing anything about it, so they just recommend redownloading the whole game every time they mess up a patch.Anon wrote: β March 13th, 2024, 14:23"For this exciting patch #20 dedicated to improve gay sex scenes, it'll require only 50gb of space for a total of 1.2tb. When I went to install whichever patch added new idle anims for party members in camp, it demanded around 990 GB to install even though it obviously uses nowhere near that. The idle animations were too leet for my 1 TB NVME SSD it's installed on. So I look it up, find out if I got past that, there's another one that wants 1.5 TB, so I just reinstalled the whole game. Just recently, I installed Patch 6 which demanded 430 GB or something like that for new kissing animations and fixing the polearm master bug, even though I watched during the install and I don't think it ever took up more than 4.3 GB additional space.
Whichever company is at fault, I don't care since neither has an excuse. They have hundreds of employees, or what, like 1k in CD Projekt's case I think? But not a single employee who knows the difference between MB, GB, and TB who can release patches for this game that expect the correct amount of required space. They just play the blame game instead and tell you to reinstall.

It didn't fix the polearm master bug, only a small part of it (the bonus attack). It's saddening that romance seem to be a way bigger priority than basic gameplay. Well I blame the ******** community that seem to almost never talk about mechanics and gameplay, giving the absolute priority to companion interactions, including romance.Analogue Dreams wrote: β March 15th, 2024, 18:291.2 TB? There is no excuse for the size being what it is. It is lazy practice, poor design, lack of expertise in compression techniques and design, etc.. people say "cuz things are bigger" but then refuse to consider the level of size and scope of projects in the far past. Result of a dumber, less disciplined society.

Look how dumbed down computer science degrees are these days. Used to be that in order to get one, it was on par with the computer engineering degrees, minus the engineering classes. You still had to take 4 semesters of Physics, and the math requirements were so high that you were just shy of degree in mathematics by only a few classes.
Now, many even skip the weeder courses and don't even have to touch calculus based physics while the math is not far above what used to be base general requirements for some non-STEM fields.

I wonder how much of this has to do with low IQ browns who get positive brain chemicals when they see that their game has big big number very large and good yes!rusty_shackleford wrote: β March 15th, 2024, 18:56bro pls we need uncompressed audio and 8k rock textures pls man we just grabbed these from artcg.com and imported them

I remember reading a post saying that games keep getting bigger to prevent customers from installing competing games.
Which for me wouldn't work very well, I'd avoid that one game to have 10 equally good ones instead.Mondain wrote: β March 16th, 2024, 14:08I remember reading a post saying that games keep getting bigger to prevent customers from installing competing games.
Disc space is cheap, however not for SSDs and NVMEs.
They're getting a bit ridiculous in size, nowadays. I'm one who likes to keep them installed as I do occasionally go back and play them or check things, and I like to keep all my settings etc. (Can't always back up the specific configs easily).
