BG Legacy Dwarf Voices Pak 1.1 β€” Baldur's Gate 3

Post by Lancaster »

Overview
Tired of scrolling through mods made by anime twinks? Ever wanted to play a dwarf character that actually sounds like a dwarf without a man bun?

Look no further! Here is a list of traditional Masculine sounding Dwarves with no MAN BUNS!

Video Showcase

Downloads
FilesVersionDescription
Dwarf_IWD 1.1Alters Tav Voices 1,3,5,7 into Dwarf Voices
Kagain 1.1Alters Tav Voices 1,3,5,7 into Kagain's Voice from BG1
Korgan 1.1Alters Tav Voices 1,3,5,7 into Korgan's Voice from BG2
Yeslick 1.1Alters Tav Voices 1,3,5,7 into Yeslick's Voice from BG1

Installation Instructions
Simply drag the .pak file into the BG3 Mod Manager and leave it in the override panel; this method worked for me. If that doesn't work, right-click on the file and choose 'Add to Load Order'.

Just remember, each mod is assigned a unique number. Mods with identical numbers cannot be stacked. For instance, 'Yeslick1' will not be compatible with 'Dwarf1'. Some voices attach better than others with the original Tavs, that's why there are 4 each. Enjoy, lemme know in the comments which ones you like better.

Sure that's the right vid, m8? The Dwarf is only at the very end.
Also filesize is massive lol, could probably do with a bit of editing.
And "Shocase"

I was on the go today, I'll see what I can do when I get home. In the meantime, there is an "all in one" pak up if you really need a dwarf fix.

The IWD Dwarf is back up, and so is the new video. It's still long AF.

We really need to find a way to straight-up add voice sets to the game. The absence of proper dwarf voices is criminal, but I also don't want to fully replace existing choices.

If I had to pick a favorite, I definitely think I'd have to pick Kagain. I think that sounds great, even if not necessarily the most dwarf-y. The others sound just a little bit off at times, I think, although it could be my imagination.

What happens if you feed all the lines of all the dwarves into the AI? Does it go fully schizophrenic or can we create a composite super-dwarf?

Some voice attached better than others, that's why each one has 4 Tavs. I don't think your Super-Dwarf theory will work lol.

If the Tavs actually had different accents with a slider that changed the pitch of their voices.

I have a question regarding the tools used to make mods like these - what kind of AI tools are being used, and what is their nature?

Are they TTS stuff that takes text as input, or more like AI-powered vocoders that take voice recordings as input? (modifying your voice into someone else's voice)

I like Lotte.
