Sorry for going off topic, since I really liked BG3, I took the liberty of taking Divinity 2, are there LGBT things and racial quotas? Does anyone have any mods to recommend for this game?

A WORKING SOLUTION FOR STEAM PLAYERS
Download previous bin files using steam console:
Open a command window "Run" by pressing «Win + R» and then enter the command:

Code: Select all

steam://open/console

Type command:

Code: Select all

download_depot 1086940 1419652 8231067205656009020 [<delta manifestid>] [<depot flags filter>] : download a single depot

It will download previous unbroken exe files. Just copy and paste them into BG3 bin folder, and everything will work.
Edit:
forgot to mention, reinstall all Native mods including Native Mod Loader

I'll of course do anything I can to help out if its within my power.

I have an idea here. How about we do this? :

Steam users:
1. Roll back your copy
2. Download a mod like Basket full of Equipment you can summon a basket that will disappear after x rounds
2. Open the save games your care about.
3. Put all your ScriptExtender related items e.g. dyes and so on in this basket.
4. If you manage to delete all these items that are unrelated ScriptExtender you might be able to open these saves in future patches.
5. Save your game.
6. Usually non vanilla items are the ones causing crashes.

For now if you want to continue using SE, you're gonna have to use Patch 6 without hotfix 18.

GOG users:
Get a version from the seas and do same above

GOG users:
Get a version from the seas and do same above

GoG Galaxy allows roll-backs.
For anyone else playing the GoG version, once on Galaxy, go to Installed (Games) -> Right-Click on the BG3 Icon for a Drop-Down Menu -> Manage Installation -> Configure -> Previous Versions under Auto-Updates (and make sure to uncheck Auto-Updates).
There are two which date back a month and two months ago. Even the one from 8 days ago (Patch #6 Release ?) should work.
And the Offline-Installer on Galaxy looks to be Patch 5 Hotfix #6. So an option to download it from there. Sadly only patches for the newest version on their website, from the looks of it.

Sounds like the specific assets thing is a compromise for Sony, who apparently enforce strict limitations on mods for their consoles. Don't know how it'll all work, but gimping the PC modding scene to allow for multiplatform mods would be lame af.

Aside from the implied cancerous despotism of "curation", I find "As this is no small task" funny. Literally all they have to do is not obfuscate code and give access to the tools they no doubt work with themselves. Their pains are and continue to be self-inflicted.
