oh my god, you mean that investigator? YES PLEASE, that creature was too annoying. at least normal appearance would make it easier to bear
edit: remember that it shows up in a newspaper, I believe in an illustration

Would you rather I have him referred to as a he then?Silver wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 01:34You must be joking now, no way you are going to fix that atrocious space thing.orinEsque wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 01:26I'll be turning that Oliphant into a female soon. I said i wasn't gonna change another NPC, then I remembered that stupid animal
I get it, it's... just a very weird fantasy creature, but... doesn't make me less confused at the presence of that thing.
I actually enjoyed the vanilla voice acting, but I understand why going for female version would be easier.
I also think the Philomen or what was her name is missing?
One of the many gay deep gnomes that we don't even know how they reproduce with 75% of them being gay couples.
Appearance? It's an oliphant... not sure what normal is.Envuen wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 01:35oh my god, you mean that investigator? YES PLEASE, that creature was too annoying. at least normal appearance would make it easier to bear![]()
You should take whichever approach is easier tbh.orinEsque wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 01:41Would you rather I have him referred to as a he then?
Did you not mean you're planning to turn the oliphant into a woman? I thought the creature is already a female.orinEsque wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 01:41Appearance? It's an oliphant... not sure what normal is.
Path of least resistance would be to only change the voice to female. No text no dubbing over his/her.Silver wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 01:45You should take whichever approach is easier tbh.orinEsque wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 01:41Would you rather I have him referred to as a he then?
While I enjoyed voice acting, every npc who mentions oliphant refers to him in female name of Valeria. Which means you don't have to work on text as much, right?
No not a female human... a female sounding oliphantEnvuen wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 01:47Did you not mean you're planning to turn the oliphant into a woman? I hate what they did with Valeria "oh haha what if we made a being of pure goodness a lazy, alcoholic, lecherous, and rude person hehe i am hilarious and original"The_Mask wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 01:52
That's a hollyphant 1st edition D&D.
Technically, they're supposed to be cute creatures that remind you of Dumbo. Lawful Good alignment.
That being said, mileage may vary.

"mr stark, i don't feel so good"
i think shar's meant to be nightsong_old model. That model is pretty. I would chalk this up to poor craftsmanship.
all Thorm's money were invested in boobs and chainmail bikini i'm afraid
Looks like she is wearing a mask above her mouth.
well, it's still ugly. and weren't there similar statues at Grymforge but without that derpy mask?

I'm curious now what this looks like. Will try it out, even though i think Astarion is fine as he is.DagothGeas5 wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 19:31Wanted to share this here for visibility

It is not alphabet cult related, but I find it strange how he was changed and both softened and made to have that strange looped smile, this restores Astarion to how he originally was.
You should definitely post it as a separate mod, Russians who spotted feminization can report lines to you. Your work will be faster and better perfected that way.Aleks1398 wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 12:53So... I decided to make a translation with "Russian translation fixes" in mind. So it will be some time before i'll finish.
From my own experience my mind "clicked" when I saw it in-game and realized that, indeed, Astarion looked "off" to me for some reason that I couldn't wrap my head around (the smile especially) because he indeed WAS changed from how I knew him from Early Access. From my testing the mesh has no issues, but I saw some strange lights at the corners of his mouth in a dialogue scene, though it could very well be the vanilla bugged interior mouth I have met throughout the game under particular lighting conditions. To see the major differences, I recommend using this mod for the meeting Astarion scenes and pay attention to the way he closes his lips when he smiles (Grinch or, as I like to call it, old cat-loving aunt style). EDIT: Scratch that, I was trying to get some comparison screens and he only smiles once in that way in the whole scene, and it is too brief to properly tell. I will update when I can find the better testing ground, sorry for the mismatch in memoryorinEsque wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 19:36I'm curious now what this looks like. i've just downloaded this mod, i'm so relieved that it was just mesh changes and not some dumbfuckery with animation. really was wondering why and who tf said EA Astarion's head needed fixing, this person needs to be kicked in the groin repeatedly for that ****.DagothGeas5 wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 19:31Wanted to share this here for visibility

[ @orinEsque the Astarion meeting scene only has one little scene where he smiles, it is not that good for testing, wanted to let you know. Sorry for the false information, I truly thought that was the one that came to memory where he smiled the mostCheesusCrust wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 20:17i've just downloaded this mod, i'm so relieved that it was just mesh changes and not some dumbfuckery with animation. really was wondering why and who tf said EA Astarion's head needed fixing, this person needs to be kicked in the groin repeatedly for that ****.DagothGeas5 wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 19:31Wanted to share this here for visibility

Hmm I like the smoothness of the jawline of the current one (pre release looks like botox), but the lips are REALLY weird in the the current one.CheesusCrust wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 20:17i've just downloaded this mod, i'm so relieved that it was just mesh changes and not some dumbfuckery with animation. really was wondering why and who tf said EA Astarion's head needed fixing, this person needs to be kicked in the groin repeatedly for that ****.DagothGeas5 wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 19:31Wanted to share this here for visibility

Absolutely. Like CheesusCrust I also thought it was due to someone deciding to **** up the animations (like they did with most of his motion capture already though, there is a lot missing and much that looks janky compared to how things played before), to find out the mesh is responsible is... Why have they not fixed it? Instead of, again, like CheesusCrust said in the previous page I believe, fixing UI no one noticed, why not fix this, or, for example, finally fix Minthara's romance among all the other things. Modders should be payed by the companies as a sort of "shame on you" tribute they have to pay for leaving it to others to fixing their games.orinEsque wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 21:02Hmm I like the smoothness of the jawline of the current one (pre release looks like botox), but the lips are REALLY weird in the the current one.CheesusCrust wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 20:17i've just downloaded this mod, i'm so relieved that it was just mesh changes and not some dumbfuckery with animation. really was wondering why and who tf said EA Astarion's head needed fixing, this person needs to be kicked in the groin repeatedly for that ****.DagothGeas5 wrote: β January 27th, 2024, 19:31Wanted to share this here for visibility
