It is currently on sale on Steam for a historically low price so I got it. After playing for half an hour it seems to be a Gigeresque version of The witness - there is not a single line of dialogue in the game, everything is explained through environmental storytelling - with simpler puzzles and some of shooting. The visuals are great, art style stays true to Giger's paintings and everything looks disgusting.
It's not really similar to The Witness, the amount of puzzles can be counted on fingers and the puzzles are also very easy. There's also combat, but it's basic, and the encounters are rare.
Personally I liked it, but it's barely even a game. Worth checking out for the gorgeous visuals, but if you expect proper puzzles/combat/exploration, then you'll be dissapointed.

Saying the game actually explains anything storywise is a stretch. You can infer things, but so much is left up for interpretation I hazard to say it doesn't have a story.
It's basically a moving Giger painting and little else.

I saw it make minor buzz. Kind of seems like boring borderline walking sim tier stuff with a bunch of gore porn for edge factor like that one game about hell.
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?
