I can't remember if they were or not, but try to Pick someone with a posh English accent, instead of a regular English one.

I was thinking Cullen because he is a Knight-Captain and his voice carried some of that authority with it throughout the game. It's why I thought it would be a good fit for Wyll, since despite his noble upbringing, he clearly is more about fighting and protecting people, so his "polished" manner faded on him a little.
Still, if we want something softer, Solas might work better.

I was thinking Cullen because he is a Knight-Captain and his voice carried some of that authority with it throughout the game. It's why I thought it would be a good fit for Wyll, since despite his noble upbringing, he clearly is more about fighting and protecting people, so his "polished" manner faded on him a little.
Still, if we want something softer, Solas might work better.

Solas likely wouldn't work too well, as he has a Welsh accent, but if the AI is only going to copy the sound of the voice while retaining the accent of the original voice being replaced, it may not be an issue.

That being said, I heard he did a super cringe thing by "roleplaying" as Cullen during this drama and trying to incite his "Cullenites" to lend him their support or some such. If it wasn't for that detail, I'd be much more sympathetic for him. Luckily though, he is still getting work, such as in Hogwarts Legacy.

Still, more believable than some random Chultan becoming a Duke of Baldur's Gate.

just hearing there's word "cullenites" makes me cringe

that said, DA:I was and still is a ******* ****, no idea how Cullen escaped his fate becoming a gollum (see his concept "art") while the rest of the characters got uglified to fucks, thanks to one of the devs who decided to make companions this way on purpose. yet potatohead Solas and minecraft block Bull got most loved by 13 yo fanfiction writers, what a ******* joke

Humans from Kara-Tur have features like Yoshimo's, right? If that is so, I would be 100% on-board for having Duke Ravenguard be from Kara-Tur. Angry/strict asian father trope (from what I have learned of him in-game so far at least, I have not met him personally yet except from when Orin implants the tadpole in him before Ketheric's boss fight).

"Duke" is a position right below the royal family, and one of high honor and responsibility.
People don't just wander in and get such titled ranks.

That in itself makes no sense in a city-state like Baldur's Gate.
Nothing about that makes sense.
