It's shameful to think that Nexus, being the biggest mod hoster there is, isn't remotely interested in defending their modders, who effectively sustain these leech fucks for free with their hard and passionate work. But that's far from being one of their worst defects, just a bit telling of what kind of people they are.

Scary to think that if the Nexus goes under or gets DDOS'd to death one day, 98% of mods would vanish completely. It's the fault of modders for not uploading their stuff elsewhere.

You may be referring to the Guardian's voice which chimes in when there are tadpoles in the vicinity, among other occasions. Mine are all male, so impossible to mistake them for the original narrator, lol.

I think you are correct. My guardian voice is female and I bet that's what I heard. Thanks!

This doesn't seem to work, I have the latest hotfix 17 and using BG 3 fitgirl version. When I tried it, it made the cut scenes where you are supposed to hear the narrator's voice not happen, so things won't trigger and you can't make progress in the game. For example, the guy who is trying to get in the gate for the Druid Grove in Act 1 - the cut scene just doesn't happen and no goblins show up to fight.

I know it's old hat but they look exactly how I imagined them, without exception. And I'm sure I don't need to specify here what I mean by that.

Patch broke all voice mods. I figured out the issue @Prismatika , pm me when you are on. I've figured out the new convention after much trial and error.

I can teach anyone who cares how to do it. But I don't want to do it myself, once you update a mod for an absent modder... people expect you to support the mod!

I've never modded before but if you are patienmt enough to teach this old coot, I'm up for it.

BTW. it seems patch 6 messed up some non-mod adio as well. The clickable rune slate in the loading room of the nautiloid no longer narrates even with all mods removed. So I think it best to wait for a hotfix before trying to fix the mods. I've sent a bug report to Laurian.

I'm experiencing the same thing, unfortunately.

(Or at least suspect that I am. I've yet to confirm that the original narrator is speaking without the mod enabled, at least in some cases.)

I have unpacked the Gustav.pak already in a folder on my desktop using the BG3 modding tool. But I can't find the files, that this mod contains.

And here is the thing, the patchnotes say, that they added a few new lines for the narrator, that means I wont be able to generate them (I dont know which AI tool Prismatika used).

Good deal. The game is unplayable with the pretentious Karen narrator. I much prefer the male voice.

It just boggles the mind the lengths we have to go just to make a decent game that a normal dude can play.

Look for "Lenval Brown as Narrator" or "Famous British Narrator" (the "deeper voice" version) on the Other Site. The first is a rich, British baritone, the second has an older, more Tolkien-esque sound. I rather like both.

I didn't know the name Lenval Brown, but I recognize the Disco Elysium narrator when I hear him lol. Is there a preview version for the deeper version of famous British narrator?

Also, can confirm Famous British Narrator (Deeper) isn't working with Hotfix 19 (at least not with my load order. Lenval works fine).
