Btw I personally also recommend this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/ ... ?tab=files for changing Minthara's voice. I don't know you guys, but I always found her voice kinda masculine and gritty and that was always an issue to me to fully enjoy her who, imho, has the best background and writing out of all Larian original companions (and that's considering her interactions are still bugged).

To be honest Minthara's voice is genuinely amazing, rarely have I heard such a great voice and the first thing I thought when hearing her speak was just "****, what a voice"
It's totally different from someone like Shadowheart, but superb nonetheless. But to each their own I guess

I didn't say she is written "really well", but rather the best written compared to the other companions, which is a low bar tbh.

I like that she's the only companion who'll demand exclusivity when romancing, not even accepting things like threesome etc. She's the nearest experience in the game you can get to a traditional monogamic relationship. She was even pitched to get pregnant in early access, but probably this was deemed too much normalcy for Larian. And she's the only true savage evil companion, compared to the little ***** that pretends to be evil that is Astarion.

Yeah she has kinda manly features but it's in an acceptable degree for an ultrafeministic warrior society like the drows. It's her voice that's kinda hard to get into.

i still remember people going into booger-eating river-crying mode in BG2 after discovering romanced Aerie gets pregnant from your male mc, almost like "ewwww she gots BABEH, omgggggg mommyyyyy GORLS GET FAT WITH BABIES MOOOOOOM CALL THE ******* COPS". i myself don't like and don't want any kids, but i do like the idea of my characters having an option to create their own family with children.

i'll agree here. that's why i installed "softer minthara voice", tweaked her face with "appearance edit enhanced" and made things a bit better. but dialogues sound unnatural because of that slight terminator rasp of AI.
