The entire FromSoftware portfolio is entirely pretentious garbage and people liking these games need to be physically removed.

You go too far sir, the only one I've played was dark souls 1 but it was a good time. ******* have poisoned the well on the game over time by not shutting up about it, but honestly the visuals are great and its fun to fight a bunch of enemies that are stronger than you and have cool designs.

They became a parody of themselves by leaning into dark souls difficulty bs. Later games aren't even fun because of it.

I'm a big Warhammer fan, and I like the Total Warhammer games, but some of the spells are just disappointing.

Final Transmutation
The Wizard unleashes a hail of magical energy, transmuting his foes into Unliving golden statues.

Cool. I wonder if it works like that one ultimate in Warcraft 3 that kills the target and gives you some gold. Or maybe it works like in the tabletop wargame where the enemies will actually-
Oh, it does X damage over Y seconds.

Banishment
Creatures of the dark beware, for the Mage casts a ball of pure light to banish enemies of white wizardry.

Yeah, it makes sense that Light Wizards would have a spell that deals a lot of damage to undead and daemons and such. I wonder if it also works against dark mages and-
...it does X damage over Y seconds to any target standing in the AoE.

The Fate of Bjuna
Following the fate of the unsmiling warrior, Bjuna, the targets of the caster’s ire will laugh themselves to death.

A stun, at least? Or some stat penalties?
Ha! Does X damage over Y seconds.

What's the appeal of the total warhammer games? Is there even a campaign?

Compared to other TW games? The Immortal Empires campaign with a gigantic map, 25ish races and 270+ factions, 80 of which are playable with a unique lord and have unique mechanics.
There are multiple story focused campaigns like any TW game, but I only care for the grand campaigns where you pick a faction and conquer as you see fit.

As Oyster said, big map, lots of factions, but also the fact most factions play very uniquely during tactical battles, but also have unique mechanics on the strategic map, with different goals, victory conditions etc.

Also, within each faction each legendary lord usually has their own quirk.

The fact that it's Warhammer Fantasy is admittedly a big part. I'm not a big enough turn-based strategy / real-time tactics autist to really judge the game on how well it does compared to other games in the genre, but it's a big budget game in a setting I enjoy.

Looking at TW3 (the final game in the trilogy):
There is one 'main' campaign (mostly featuring the new races and factions introduced in the third game in the series), one mega campaign (featuring all the races and factions from all three games), and some smaller side campaigns.
https://totalwarwarhammer.fandom.com/wi ... hammer_III
You were originally supposed to have to own all three games to access the mega campaign, but they made it available to everyone who owns TW3 when it left the beta. You still need the correct base game or DLC to be able to play a faction that was released in it, though (TW2 base game for Clan Pestilens, for example).
It's pretty **** big: https://totalwarwarhammer.fandom.com/wi ... on=mapedit

The game has a lot of races (high elves, greenskins, etc.), and each race usually has several factions to choose from (the high elves have Eataine, Order of Loremasters, Avelorn, Nagarythe, Yvresse, and Knights of Caledor, for example).
https://totalwarwarhammer.fandom.com/wi ... dary_lords
The races play pretty differently for the most part (both on the strategic world map and the tactical battlefield maps), and the factions within each race all have some gimmick that makes them at least somewhat unique (as well as a unique Legendary Lord to lead them).

As for downsides, the usual DLC spam.
https://totalwarwarhammer.fandom.com/wi ... t#Paid_DLC
https://totalwarwarhammer.fandom.com/wi ... Paid_DLC_2
https://totalwarwarhammer.fandom.com/wi ... Paid_DLC_3
One thing that particularly annoys me is when a DLC not only adds a new race or faction, but also adds new units that can be used by an existing faction. It's one thing to say 'You can't choose this faction when starting a new game unless you've bought the DLC', but another to say 'You've already bought this faction, but it's retroactively no longer complete because we added a new unit to it that you can only recruit if you have this other new DLC'.

There are also bugs and balance issues, as with any big multiplayer game. I haven't been keeping up with the community, but I'm sure 'the devs are lazy greedy incompetent bastards' is a common sentiment. I can't comment on how accurate that is.

it's astounding how bad the females look in Hades.

Here's a super quick and dirty kritashop just to prove how easy it is to NOT make them hideous ********. This took like 5 minutes.

If you're thinking of buying a game for some reason, I recommend using GreenManGaming for Steam keys. Usually have a lot of deals, but are by default 10-20% cheaper than Steam.
https://www.greenmangaming.com/

No, it's not a reseller. They work directly with publishers/devs. Yes, Steam allows publishers/devs to create Steam keys and sell them on third party services.
https://www.greenmangaming.com/who-we-are/
Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: Yesssssss.

Full answer: Every key we sell comes directly from game publishers, meaning when you purchase from us you know you aren’t getting a key from a dodgy source… We have contracts with over 1300 publishers making us an official source for PC and Xbox keys.
It's cheaper because their cut is smaller, therefore they can charge less.
Ironically that thing Epic store was meant to enable, yet devs kept charging the same price.

The cheeks look too pronounced in comparison to the lenght of her face I think, and the nose is a bit too flat and large at the tip I think. Adds an air of "I am a deer person!" or something. Maybe something like this (I gave it my two cents out of curiosity, I am not an artist) Placed inside a spoiler for those that are tired to see the image.

Thank you a lot. This thread had me in a bad mood yesterday. My original art females have never been accused of looking ugly or mannish, but this isn't the first time my attempts at feminizing somebody else's androgynous art has gotten extremely negative, but unhelpful and vague feedback. I was going crazy trying to figure out what I was blind to.

You're most welcome! I am very bad at expressing what I mean, especially with "gut feeling" stuff, so I hope you can see what I mean through the picture!
What I did notice of these "androgynous" (which, let's be honest, they all look like Karens or men in a wig more than what androgynous really means) females they are pushing for these days is that they are all very venomous, "tough guy act" and only have one of two expressions: smug, or "stoic". They suck the life out of what a character could be and focus on their "not-so-secret-goal" instead of focusing on the character themselves. When I saw her, though I don't know who she is, I thought she would be much more lovable as a sort of "energetic pixie" of sorts. Sunny, lively, but able to be deadly and ferocious when threatened.

****. They always choose the "nature-related" stuff or furry stuff for avatars, don't they? Like that twitch guy that said he was a deer person or whatever (made head of "online security" or something too from what I remember). Why do they push so hard to be "special"?

(Making a new post as it is about a completely unrelated topic to what my previous post is about, if I should merge them for clutter removal, let me know! <3 )

Wanted to ask, is this game any kind of woke at all?
I looked around and it seems to be fine, but many games were "fine", only for them to (like Cyberpunk) have ***** **** shoved in, sneakily or otherwise, and I want none of it.
I read around here that it is something of a Bioshock clone or something, and though I played the original Bioshock, I really don't mind clone-games and the likes.

Atomic Heart is one of the least woke games I've played in years. The only hint of wokeness is one character has a side shave. 8/10 game for me. Maybe even 9/10 when compared to other recent releases.
