This may be a controversial, brave opinion, but I don't think video game developers should commission songs literally just for a tweet.

Weird how they used to be able to say "Merry Christmas" in 2020
What happened?

Got to be careful not to offend the degenerate satanist pedophiles, you know? It's current year!
Obsidian's also cringe
As is CD Projekt
Of course Bioware would be
But Owlcat is... not?
Also Warhorse but that's not really surprising
Piranha Bytes may be a zombie studio but they're still faithful
And Dandylion may be "Worst" Koreans but they're actually best
Pretty much irrelevant at this point. I'd be ok if not being Christian enough was the worst sin of game devs. As it stands, it's at the bottom of the pile for things to hold against them.

Game Devs have always been libruls from 'intellectual' households. Mass Entertainment is an almost entirely librul concept. It's like depending on lawyers and judges to save your republic. Nobody ever does.Element wrote: ↑ December 25th, 2023, 20:16Pretty much irrelevant at this point. I get increasingly sad the more I read about Larian, but the truth matters more. Thank you all here for sharing all this information, on not only Larian but other ones I didn't know were **** (like "COQ" as Sseth called it, which seemed interesting but I was fortunately skeptical after he said there was an unkillable purple character.)

Come on Rusty. They have WotC up their *** and they are clearly courting their "modern audiences" market, and those commie, danger-haired morons HATE "Merry Christmas" messages with a white-hot rage.
This is about getting more vermin to buy their pozzed game, not anything personal to them. I'm sure most of the devs actually have some sort of Christmas celebration, secular at least.

You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

ALL western devs are SJWs. You literally cannot get hired as a game dev if you are not a leftist in the West.
I can't remember where I learned of it, but I do recall hearing of this (there was even some sort of "checklist" or something, much like how Bungie has "segregation clubs" which they believe are inclusive, aka: you are ABC, you go sit at that table and speak to people like you. Of course, no such "club" for anyone white or normal).aweigh wrote: ↑ December 25th, 2023, 22:53i can make it easier for you, no need to go around digging up "info" on them.DagothGeas5 wrote: ↑ December 25th, 2023, 21:02I get increasingly sad the more I read about Larian, but the truth matters more. I have learned to assume the worst in "entertainment", always, these days, but I have a bad habit of always getting some shred of hope when I believe I see some light in a work (Sven and the team acting so much like how I would play with a friend when they live tested the game, their shenanigans and failings and how they seemed to nerd on the mechanics gave me hope they were something different

Swen/Sven (whatever it is) seems to be what some people call a "classical liberal", i.e. an old libtard, so they're probably far more tolerable as people and can actually have fun with you. I'm just guessing however I don't really pay attention to the Larian livestreams, always found them boring.DagothGeas5 wrote: ↑ December 25th, 2023, 23:09(Sven and the team acting so much like how I would play with a friend when they live tested the game, their shenanigans and failings and how they seemed to nerd on the mechanics gave me hope they were something different )
The developers of a game featuring bear sex and not a single straight couple is satanic, say it isn't so!
How many of the members of this forum actually keep the sabbath? Happy Holidays has been around longer than any of us, and I feel that there are more pressing matters in the culture war

I'm fine with someone saying happy holidays at the beginning of December but it's a cowardly move when you say it on Christmas Eve or Christmas.Nammu Archag wrote: ↑ December 26th, 2023, 02:54How many of the members of this forum actually keep the sabbath? If they aren't Christians in the first place why would they care what the social media manager puts? Personally, I don't think there's much thought to it beyond flavoring. As "pozzed" as Larian is, it is still mostly straight white nerdy males, who in all likelihood wouldn't have been Christian 20 years prior regardless of ***** commissars.Roguey wrote: ↑ December 26th, 2023, 03:07I'm fine with someone saying happy holidays at the beginning of December but it's a cowardly move when you say it on Christmas Eve or Christmas.Nammu Archag wrote: ↑ December 26th, 2023, 02:54How many of the members of this forum actually keep the sabbath? You don't have to be Christian to celebrate Christmas. It was originally a pagan holiday and most of the rituals stem from that.
So why does it matter whether they directly say Christmas or use a more general term? What if they said Merry Yuletide instead, would that not be equally as anti-Christian, if not more so than the original? Isn't this whole thing about the team being anti-christian? I seriously doubt that there was an internal discussion at Larian where they said "don't say Christmas anymore" over the scenario of the person making the post just typing "Happy Holidays" and posting without a thought beyond typos.Roguey wrote: ↑ December 26th, 2023, 03:35

Why Christmas Is Not Pagan wrote:By the year 221 AD, three Christian writers had independently calculated the date of Jesus’ birth as December 25. Irenaeus, as we have just said, identified the date of his annunciation before the end of the second century. Hippolytus used a different method, but determined December 25 as the date of the Nativity in 202 AD when he wrote his commentary on Daniel 4:23. Finally, Sextus Julius Africanus, in writing his “Chronology of the World” in 221 AD had also calculated December 25.
When people pushing the pagan conspiracy theory argue that December 25 the date of a pagan festival, they build their argument upon observances of that date. But they never bother to explore the series of Christian dates from which December 25 is derived. They never whisper a word of dissent about September 23 (Conception of John the Baptist), March 25 (Annunciation) or June 24 (Nativity of John the Baptist)! The conspiracy theorist’s only complaint is with December 25. When we examine why Christians began observing December 25 as the birthdate of our Lord, the argument that it was first a pagan holiday simply collapses.
But what makes our conspiracy theorist’s job even more difficult is the fact that it was the pagans who plagiarised from the Christians (not the other way round). The scholar Manfred Claus established that Emperor Aurelian established the cult of Dies Natalis Solis Invicti on December 25, 274 AD, and decreed that day as the day of the Winter Solstice celebration. This is more than 50 years after Sextus Julius Africanus established Christ's birthday; 72 years after Hippolytus had done so, and probably at least 100 years after Irenaeus established March 25 as the Annunciation.
The pagans were responding to the rise of the Church and the subsequent collapse in popularity of pagan observances. They were responding to the “competition” provided by the Church by trying to usurp a date revered by Christians.
