Erotica Uncut 2024.11.09 — Dead Rising Remastered

This mod restores the erotica genre by replacing and overriding the outtake genre. I noticed that erotica was still present in the game files, and after further investigation I found it was fully intact but just not appearing in the game. While all the info remained, the genre ID when called would not trigger, effectively blocking it from showing at all no matter what I tried. So the first step in my fix was to trick the game by swapping the ID for erotica to something that was not blocked, allowing it to display again. For this I chose outtake since it was tied to Kent's mission now. However, this blanket approach would have had a downside as every outtake photo would now be treated as erotica.

To resolve this, I delved deeper into the system that dealt with photo rewards and learnt what joints and ID types got matched in game to each genre and specific body parts. I then went through every NPC, enemy, and zombie, reassigning their usual outtake triggers to drama and redirecting the original erotica triggers to the newly reconfigured outtake (now erotica). Since the existing structure was still intact, this method worked very well. Essentially, the game now treats what used to be outtake scenarios as drama, while erotica behaves almost exactly as it did in the original game. The only change is that female zombies no longer have erotica variants based on clothing due to a file that was added by Neobards or Capcom to redirect their photo rewards back to the regular zombie type but I was able to half fix this by creating my own version of this file that directs to how one of the female zombies was setup in the old game. I uploaded two variants depending on your preference.

Additionally, Kent's Photo Challenge now displays as erotica, which once again should work correctly and his introduction cutscene displays the correct photo. I haven't tested with Cheryl's request yet but it either will work fine or needs a slight tweak based on a unique entry I saw for duplicate versions of her that was blank that I think could be related to that mission.
