My disdain for first-person melee combat is a combination of inconsistent depth perception/hit detection and the complete lack of skill I have for feinting and chambering.

Nihon Falcom has made a lot of games. They were making multiple games per year until the 2010s when it became just one per year.

Good point, they don't seem to be on the list, I'll double-check to see what's up.

[edit]
Looks like the data I'm using is just missing a bunch of their games, assumed it would be more comprehensive. I guess take the list with a grain of salt

I think that method gets messed up because places like Atari account for Atari Corporation and Atari Holdings separately, not to mention what can be considered "Atari" after the Infogrames period started.
Other companies seem to have that kind of division as you see with Konami there, too. Or if you have a later acquistion like Square Enix or Bandai Namco, how do those count when one core team may be active all the way through time?

Does anyone know if no rest for the wicked is worth picking up? It looks interesting and there's a founders pack if you pick it up before the game before tomorrow.

I tried the early access version and it was ok, but I didn't like how weird the characters looked and that was one of my biggest gripes along with every enemy feeling like a slog to fight

Yeah it has that dark gritty feel about it but the faction itself i would say is inspired by Krieg(Or from whatever Imperial Guards were inspired from) most of your melee is fodder, main damage comes from long range howitzer/dreadnoughts. I presume he(the game is made by a solo dev) will also add flying support that you can control. It's fine demo worth few hours of playing

This is from my second game where i played against swarming mutants, did moving maginot with dreadnought nonstop destroying everything :playing:

I like the idea of building an artillery array and shelling the enemy to pass time. A trench warfare mechanic would be neat.

I don't get why customizing controls wasn't (and maybe still isn't?) a standard for console games. There's no way it could be that hard to program.
