AI is just a digital tool, there's nothing magical or demonic about it.

I learn lots about it in my job, so I know for sure that no matter how much it advances, AI will always boil down to the ability of the human using it, just like any other technology.

So if AI helps the development of gaming and modding - as in, being used by those who genuinely want to make good stuff instead of thinking that AI is a cheap shortcut - then it would be a good thing.

If you're referring to the mod: AFAIK BasedMods has been dead for a while because it got kicked off all the "censorship resistant" platforms the technology it's using was built upon.

After almost a three-month blackout, access to BasedMods is fully restored.

The owner of the modding site made the arduous task of migrating from Arweave to Autonomi for permanent storage, allowing visitors and users to access and download mods from the site. Previously, Arweave censored BasedMods by blacklisted the site's address used to store the mods and thus disabling access and downloading of them. The mods are nevertheless still stored in the system, allowing the owner of the site to ship its data to another storage platform named Autonomi.

However, I also brought up a post made by @loregamer that BasedMods has a policy that every single mod uploaded into the site MUST be the final version and the perception on BasedMods by Kiwi Farmers soured.

Kiwi Farmers have also dugged up a lot of dirt from alternative sites that allowed "de-woke" mods. The biggest similarity between some of them is their obsession with uploading a mod that sexualizes the child Diana from the game Pragmata.

• GameBanana - Admins have recently cracked down on "de-woke" mods for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream and Fire Emblem: Engage.
• AyakaMods - AyakaMods not only has a lot of gooner mods focusing on anime girls, but the site also allows lolicon mods and permits users as young as 13 to sign up on the platform. You also need an account on the site to download mods. Finally, it is to note that the Farms has personal animosity since the owner of AyakaMods has made posts supporting Chibi Reviews and denouncing the Kiwi Farms. Most likely hosts the Pragmata mod.
• DEG Mods - Allows shotacon and lolicon mods as a result of such policy, including the Pragmata mod. It is turned off by default though can be turned on.
• LaXMODS - The admin of the site has uploaded mods that sexualizes children characters from Capcom games, including Pragmata. He even had the gall to add that information in the website ticker for all visitors to see that they have a nude mod of Diana.

The only other mod hosting platform is playground.ru, but that is Russian only, and the site has been slow recently, most likely affected by either sanctions or Internet restrictions by the Russian government.

This leaves only ModHQ, which I am convinced that it is the only superior mod hosting platform on the Internet. So thank you folks for your hard work on making ModHQ as high-quality as possible.

Null has banned lolicon and shotacon and any user involved in those communities from the Kiwi Farms. We got accusations that we're "anti-free speech" for such a policy and not supporting folks who like that stuff and that our site will die out for it. However, our site grew constantly. The policy works.
