performance isn't good either. sure, the game runs "fine", but has random stutters and the camera rotation isn't fully smooth. i ended up uninstalling it anyway because of what you say, is boring af
Barely went over 100fps on the lowest settings and then the "game" turned out to be hours of holding W and watching interactive cutscenes.aweigh wrote: ↑ June 1st, 2026, 00:12performance isn't good either. sure, the game runs "fine", but has random stutters and the camera rotation isn't fully smooth. i ended up uninstalling it anyway because of what you say, is boring af

The weasel is back with a 30 minute video about why AAA games take 6+ years to make now
"Number one reason why games take so long these days: Increased graphical fidelity."
"Reason two kind of springboards on that, which is the bigger your team gets, and as we just established, it needs to get bigger to keep up with these expectations, the harder it is to manage. The more people you have on a team, the more managers you need, the more producers you need, the more time you need to put into making sure everybody is communicating."
"Also spring boarding off of this is explanation number three which is that scopes are bigger than ever. Players are expecting these vast worlds with skill trees and crafting and puddles that reflect perfectly."
"Reason number four: Another thing that has come up in recent years is just technical challenges ... If you are used to working with one iteration of the engine and then suddenly you have to do it on another that is very time consuming."
"Number five, I'm gonna just say COVID."
"Let's do a spicy one for reason number six. And I've written about this quite a bit over the years: Mismanagement."
"The seventh reason - which is a positive reason - is that creativity takes time, and greatness takes time."
As expected, he doesn't list bad employees as a factor. A hidden eighth reason.

This should be the top reason, if you don't enjoy video games, playing them, making them, or the people who play them, you simply shouldn't be working in the industry. Unfortunately, it's filled with exactly those kinds of people on purpose.Roguey wrote: ↑ Yesterday, 18:39

Some of the best games ever made had development times of 12-18 months.Roguey wrote: ↑ Yesterday, 18:39"The seventh reason - which is a positive reason - is that creativity takes time, and greatness takes time."
I'm not referring to niche and/or indie titles either

Insomniac is cancer and I don’t plan to buy this. I will give the trailer props that majority of the enemies look like the degenerate lgbtq army. so I was surprised we got Wolverine shredding apart entitled/degenerate feminists and ***** looking mofos in here lol.
But then I saw Debra ******* Wilson in the game. I ******* hate the gayming industry in USA, too much in bed with SPLC, ESG, and Blackrock cult.

I think he read this article.
Of these games little niggaz 3 flopped, Silent Hill Foid was very mid and im pretty sure it flopped, hades 2 launch was a disaster and they had to completely redo the ending, Ghost of woke flopped, death stranding 2 flopped, and every other game did well regardless of whatever your personal thoughts are.
I was too curious what kind of ****** could list all this gutter trash and leave out the king of 2025 with a straight face, but it suddenly all makes sense. Straightest and Whitest E33 hater right here.

To the surprise of absolutely no one the state of play was very mid. Mostly stuff we already knew was coming and the rest was **** no one cares about. Some dishonorable mentions include Rayman Legends remake and the new god of war game. Whoever decided to take an evergreen kino game with SOVL that was the og rayman legends and put it through a 3d uncanny uglification filter deserves to be tarred and feathered. To add salt to the wound if you don't buy this game they'll just make sure Rayman is buried forvever until Ubishit finally dies. Santa Monica studios is clearly out of ideas because anyone who actually played both new GoW games was not asking to find out what happened to Fae or what the after life was about. The first GoW game (which imo was good) was about kratos finally moving on from her death and learning to be a good father. All of the events are the second game were because Odin went insane trying to find out the secrets of the universe and what happens after a god dies. Showing us both what happened to Fae and the after life completely defeats the point of both of these games. That's not even talking about the reddit quirky chungus talking cube and sword and just how bad the dialogue was across the board. No one wanted god of war foid edition and it'll be a miracle if it actually ends up good.
I kind of agree with the guy/thing/whatever just shorten it to M.I. Mass Inclusion or Mental Illness. All adds up to me.methoxetamine wrote: ↑ Today, 01:30I was too curious what kind of ****** could list all this gutter trash and leave out the king of 2025 with a straight face, but it suddenly all makes sense. i'm the target audience for Expedition 33 and i found it very boring. only reason i haven't opined until now is i haven't finished it, i only played about 10 hours. but i can't bring myself to continue it, no interest. i do think it's a good thing that it exists, tho.

Frontier general purpose image models are nearly getting to the point of being really good for creating upscaled pre-rendered backgrounds with very little effort
Original background:

2x with point scaling(that is, no filter):

GPT Image 2.0 "re-render" at 2x resolution, minimal prompting:

The overall contrast and lighting is wrong. But the render itself is quite good otherwise. Maybe another year of img-to-img improvements and it will be good enough off the shelf.

Foid of ***** with her gelatinous they/them cube companion, FRANK is kino and based
it also has deborah wilson in it

"I don't care what they tell you in College of Winterhold, Tiber Septim was a Redguard.”
It's ironic that the best Wolverine game we've ever gotten (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) is based on a ****** film.

If she were only half black she'd be Zebra Wilson.

She's a black woman.
She's an ugly black woman.
She has a boulevard of opportunities in DEI medias.
Dunno how true this is but I've seen it brought up in multiple places that she's more or less the only negress willing to lend her likeness to the industry. Might be cope, who knows.

She did an interview where she was asked about why she has her likeness in so many games and she said developers ask to put her in their games. Actually seemed like a nice lady in the interview 2bqhstormvermin wrote: ↑ Today, 17:29Dunno how true this is but I've seen it brought up in multiple places that she's more or less the only negress willing to lend her likeness to the industry.
