Looks like people in the comments aren't excited about this change either. The gameplay and graphics don't look good and Fallout 3 looks better than this in both of these aspects.

Are they simulating weather systems? Everybody forgets the atmosphere. If I'm going to be exploring a world that scale, it'll need climate or the illusion's pointless.

Hey, guys!

The campaign for ATOM RPG 2 is over, and what an amazing and humbling experience it has been. We have managed to secure enough funds to bolster the development and finalize the core parts of the ambitious megaproject we have in mind. Even though some of the stretch goals were not reached in the end, in the case of our studio, this doesn't mean you'll never see any of them in the finished game.
Funding a stretch goal meant providing it fully implemented and tested on release. However, we will still do our absolute best to create our favourite ones anyway, just later, as a post-release patch, perhaps as a DLC. So don't forget about those lofty ideas just yet; you might come across them once again as you roam the Caspian Wastes you helped make a reality.
The plans we have for ATOM RPG 2 and the whole Atom universe are even vaster than the seamless world map size we decided upon. On one hand, it's a new experience for us, making a dynamic, fast-paced RPG like this. On the other hand, we are more than sure of our experience, our capabilities, and the kind support and moving feedback of our fanbase. You won't regret supporting us in this campaign. In fact, you might get a unique gaming experience out of it. The kind that enthralls you for hundreds of hours, both solo and in co-op.
Now, let's talk about the immediate future. First things first, it takes Kickstarter 2 weeks to finalize the transaction of funds. As soon as this happens, probably after June 5th, we will send out a special questionnaire which you will need to fill out in order to receive your rewards and, most importantly, get the game early. This is especially important for Alpha Tier backers, who will get their hands on the game as early as July 2026.
The next milestones are the closed beta testing that will start in late September, and finally, the appearance of ATOM RPG 2 in Early Access this December.
All the while, we will be sharing our ideas, achievements, and gameplay footage with each and every one of you through our socials. So follow us on Twitter and Facebook to always stay informed.

If you have any further questions, please contact us. And once more, thank you so much for making this dream a reality.

Yours,
Atom Team

The ATOM team is filled with untalented ******* who has a worse game designing skill than a 16 old idea guy. They only succeeded with their first release because it was a 1:1 carbon copy of the og Fallout, anyone who has played Sloppahaven long enough would know that.
And also they kicked out russians, who are certainly the only people in their team who know how to develop a game.
The fact that both Sloppahaven and STALKER 2 being a let down is a definite proof, that the hohol gaming industry only happens because of russians that worked for them. Once again, ukropigs can do no **** without russia.

Trudograd had a lot of improvements and I was excited for the ATOM remaster, now I am not :(

So, only the base game was funded. :pipe-hat: I wonder if they would've gotten more money if they hadn't changed the genre. They may still keep some turn-based elements via not-VATS though.

GrapeOcean raised more money and nobody knows who they are, infer what you want from that.

I like the devs, they make exactly the type of games I want (RTwP) in a sea of turn-based slog

Now I know where all the Zynga Inc. game devs went. This looks like an upscaled complicated facebook game.

Unironically based.
You'd have to be crippling autistic if you still listening to your "loyal" fanbase when the majority of them didn't even buy your last release.

teaser trailer just dropped out of nowhere:

ATOM RPG 2 | Official Announcement Teaser

ATOM RPG 2 is a story-heavy tactical CRPG set in a world where the Cold War turned hot. Explore a living open world with vertical level design, tactical battles, and an interactive world map. Take part in numerous side activities: such as fishing, building, racing, and more, while expanding your influence and control over the land. Remember: your choices not only shape a resurrecting civilisation, but may also prevent a new apocalypse looming on the horizon...

:notsureif:

What on earth is this, who could have thought of it? Also, I guess this game is very likely not that much similar to FO3, because the extremely large map claimed by the developers sounds a bit like Daggerfall. But the DEMO is even less convincing than the original FO4. I hope the developers can prove me wrong.

Also, an open-world survival game with a story-rich CRPG soul, co-op or solo, vehicles, sandbox? I don't think they have the capability to handle so many elements at once
