Monster Hunter Stories 3 is out, and has a demo.
I only ever see people talking about the characters. Are these any good?

Is that so? While it's on my radar, I haven't actually played any of the MH Stories games, I've just been told that it's a better Pokemon with worse combat. Now to hear that people talk predominantly about the characters? I don't know what to expect anymore

I've heard really good things about the MH Stories games including the demo for the new one, they look fun but I'm not into MH enough to get the most out of it

Releases september and, so far, it seems, there is no dubious character brought back from the gacha (ciel); maybe will be a good game.

Wake me when they manage to make a Thief-like that isn't ****.
I assume you like The Dark Mod? Yeah, I know it is literally Thief, but last I checked people were still adding story content and missions to it.

name sounds like something generated by chatgpt, but it doesn't look bad

This released to EA earlier this week. Has anyone tried it?

Yes. A good start, but it is DEFINITELY what you would call a pre-EA alpha build ATM.
It's minimum one year from being a game to sit down and play, rather than the ****-around for a while game it is now.

You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

I was going to fume about how I wasted my time and money on Gone Rogue because you posted it, and then saw that this is made by the same devs using the same graphics. Easy skip.

When I post things here it's not an endorsement, just a "this looks vaguely interesting"

I'm going to support this game because they have a bunch of babies whining at them for using AI in their development pipeline.

Russian or Ukrainian RPG Heart of Eternity received an English translation 17 years after release.

Youth is no obstacle when the whole world awaits your help! An old sword, a little magic, and you can set out in search of adventure. But it turns out that making a decision is often more difficult than accomplishing a heroic feat. The powerful baron and the Holy Inquisition, magical races and hordes of undead — all are eager to find ancient artifacts and gain power over the world. So who will you help, and who will lose their head? Bloody battles and destructive sorcery, ambition and intrigue will lead you to unravel the mystery of the world of Sarcus!

Epic non-linear storyline. Shape the fate of Sarcus through branching paths, multiple endings, and over 150 immersive quests.

Seamless open world. Explore a vast, continuous world without loading zones. Ride across the land and discover hidden places at your own pace.

Deep RPG progression. Customize your hero with five core attributes, dozens of secondary stats, and diverse combat specializations.

Master combat or magic. Choose your style: wield mighty swords, dual blades, bows, or unlock the secrets of four powerful schools of magic.

Skill-based combat. No auto-lock targeting — every strike is manual, rewarding precision and skill. Unleash devastating blows to cut down multiple foes at once.

Realistic armor mechanics. Protect yourself piece by piece — helmets, gauntlets, boots, and more. Forget one, and you leave yourself dangerously exposed.

Rich lore & living world. Dive into the history, rivalries, and cultures of elves, orcs, goblins, gnomes, humans, vampires, and more in a fully realized fantasy universe.

I just wish the enemies weren't the usual deranged JRPG nonsense.

You could have a TON of different humanoids, from goblins to bandits to beastmen to undead versions of all of the above.
Add in wild animals, fae, elementals, and demons and you could fill a whole game without needing a giant squirrel with a giant combat acorn and a floating magic eye-carrot, or some thing that looks like a biblical angel with a face wearing a clown mask, or whatever other stupid random nonsense.
