Can't wait to see the anti-woke community on youtube cope and say it won't be woke because of X, Y, and Z. Also Warhorse never made a good game. KCD1 was rancid **** that HEMA **** pretended was good.
KCD1 is a slog to get into, but once you really get into it and figure out combat (or just smash everyone on the head with a mace because it's easier), it's very enjoyable. The world was small enough to be to not be forced to fast travel everywhere, some of the characters were fun, the story was pretty good, and it was nice to take your peasant character and teach him to read, fight, etc.

With Warhorse, it's a could be worse scenario. KCD2 put the ******** in the main quest (and even then buried it in the 2nd Act) and then was pretty much problem free outside of it. I'd expect more of the same here unless they decide to take it to the next level of woke, but with the current environment it could go either way. The one thing about KCD2 were the expectations of it not being woke and trying to also maintain the image of being historically accurate. So they couldn't be as up front with it. They could throw that out completely with LotR, so that's certainly a spot to worry about where they take it.

If they decide to use a different engine than CryEngine maybe the game will be more moddable than the KCD games were. Either way, it all depends on how ****** they decide go with it.

The thing that surprises me is that looking at the list of LotR games, it surprises me how few good ones there are.
