From the makers of Battlebrothers comes a new turn based strategy game, I have played through the current content multiple times and enjoyed it. It could use a few more updates so wait for the full release if you don't need to scratch your strategy itch immediately.

It has a sizable amount of weapons/gadgets/vehicles to customize your squads with and a perk system for each squad with some of them having unique perks.

Enemy AI still needs some work, but I think this will be a great game once it's 1.0 build comes around.

Bringing heavy artillery to a civilian rescue mission and blasting their pod habitat colony into slag is extremely satisfying.

I wish people making sci Fi games would make tactical ship combat instead of swat team on Mars.

As in you've played it, or watched a video essay?

Played it and would still own it but my house burnt down and lost the game. Is not strategy/rts type but is one of the better space flight combat games right up there with 1998 tie-fighter in my opinion.

Sounds like something someone who never played or owned a game would say :scratch-pipe:

Just like Vagrant Story, Star Ocean 2, Final Fantasy 7, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, Vandal Heats (a game I am still sad not having a copy of), Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy Tactics, Kings Field, Kings Field 2, and many more. Didn't lose my +3K Gateway PC and my way of playing Ultima Online then either. Just wish the memories of watching the smoke go up from the saw mill I worked at and subsequently made jokes over it didn't happen either. What kind of **** makes fun of someones house burning down for only it to be their own. Jeebus Chritos :king: :groan:

It was like 19years ago but still makes me shake my head.

Did you get a nice insurance payout? A few people I know who had their houses burn down were happy about it in the end

No, it was a house that was built in 1888 and the closest I could get would be some ancient homestead insurance and no one would give that to me if I lived in it and it wasn't part of some government tourist regulatory agency. So no, no insurance.

This is what happens when you build your base out of wood. Never build your base out of wood. It WILL burn down. If you ain't rock and stone, you soon have no home.

Indeed, that's why I am a dwarf in a diggy diggy hole. Since everything around me is made out of rock and stone, any fires can't really get anywhere, and you just need to get out of the area before the fire consumes the oxygen. Then once the oxygen is gone, the fire is out and there's no real lasting damage because everything structural is ROCK AND STONE. In fact, I use fire to clean with. Where other people might hose down their floor with water (which you ALSO can't do properly if you made things out of WOOD), I can hose them down with FIRE, burning everything to ASH.
