Even aquanox itself doesn't really have the right vibes, only game I can think of is SOMA and sections of kotor tbh

Since it has a different title than the rest of the series, I'll mention Archimedean Dynasty just in case it slipped through the cracks.

Pretty sure if you've played AquaNox, you'll know what to expect from Archimedean Dynasty.

Odd that they changed the name of the series, then again Aquanox is kind of catchy.

► Sub Culture

Sub Culture is a bit of a weird one. You play as a member of a miniature humanoid species that lives under the ocean. While away from your house, it is crushed by a tin can discarded by the humans above. If I remember correctly, it has less of a level based structure and instead you need to complete various quests to progress through the game. They mostly boil down to shooting something or dragging an object with your grappling hook.

► Submarine Titans

The Aquamark benchmark's underwater base elements made me think of this one. It's more of an RTS. If I'm remembering correctly, its claim to fame was that your units could switch between five different heights.

I had the physical CD version back when it came out, however I couldn't get it running properly so can't really say much more about it.

► Subwar 2050

I've heard Subwar 2050 be compared to Strike Commander, so expect more simulation elements. I do know this is one where you really need to read the manual to be able to play it.

► Tigershark

(This video is of the PS1 version, but I've never read anything to suggest there were differences between the windows and playstation versions.)

Tigershark is more arcade like than the rest. You can also surface and fight above the waves in that one.

With the exception of Sub Culture, I think the rest can be found on GOG.

I need a slop multiplayer game I can play for hours after work, I used to play call of duty when I was younger but it's been so **** for the past 10 years.

Other slop co-op/mp games I used to play:
Payday 2
Garry's Mod
Destiny 1

Please help I'm dying here, only requirement I have is that it works on Linux.

Extremely repetitive, not enough RNG and variation to make the matches feel distinct in my opinion.

Let me clarify, the game by nature is gonna feel the same in a lot of ways because of how it's designed. The objectives, enemies and how the game works is all RNG based, in my opinion when everything about the gameplay itself is RNG, nothing is (applies to Deep Rock Galactic too). Payday 2 gets away with this because there are almost 100 heists with enough RNG, objectives and map variation to make every heist feel like it's own in someway to keep it fresh.

lol same. I played a few the last couple of days but not convinced much

Enlisted (Stopped playing because they are russians and do "Victory Day" event ****)
World War 3 (I think it was pretty much dead)
The Finals (Pretty fun so far, they have a dragon event where you play fantasy classes while doing a capture the flag kinda thing)
Over The Top WW1 ( Really chaotic and jank but really fun since the entire map is manipulable meaning trenches are all player made)
Holdfast (Napoleonic Wars, 150 players very fun, and there are events you do with Regiments, like Linebattles where you have to follow orders and get in line to shoot)

Try Fatshark's Mechwarrior, I can't remember what it's on right now. Vermintide and Darktide might do it too.
