I can't claim to know much about the studio's personnel/inner -workings, but I did enjoy most of their earlier games despite the jank and, like rusty said, backtracking. For better or worse, Spiders was always one of my brain's go to when thinking of older AA game studios.

Now I'm drawing a blank at trying to think of long-standing AA game studios that aren't just a propaganda mouthpiece.

Multiplayer gaming is dead, aside from the big names. There is zero purpose in developing a new multiplayer game when the player count dwindles and fades away within a week.

Big name Multiplayer is also **** because of meta-gaming, lack of communication features, over-aggressive moderation, and people not optimizing netcodes or coming up with stable reconnection options.

I can't tell you how many turn-based and real-time strategy games I see on Steam with reviews that say things like "if your connection blips once, you get kicked and can't reconnect". They had this **** fairly and stably implemented back in StarCraft 1 days, where you get 45 seconds to reconnect, and even then a drop was up to the other players.

Because anyone who would be a critic with integrity would get ousted by the payola whores that have taken over games journalism and influencing.

Like I said, "reviewers" will give a "Where's Waldo game but with cats" a higher score than Deus Ex, Half-Life, Alpha Centauri, etc.

What's funny is these people are the first to screech about AI "stealing" artist's work, lol.
Then they release card art manually traced (not just inspired, as per AI) from someone else's work, and only credit / compensate them when called out.

AI would never have done this.

Actually once I looked at the picture it seems to be a lie that he traced it at all. He just copy/pasted, flipped it, and blurred the runes. Somehow issuing this joint statement makes it worse because now Wizards is saying that they accept this excuse and believe the obviously false statement. So either they are complicit in the thing they say is bad or lack the ability to evaluate art.
