The Pirates of The Flying Fortress DLC had a more interesting main plot than the base game, though completely unrelated to it. Like a little filler episode in your favorite show, nothing memorable but some more of what you like. It's also somewhat unfinished in the details, like half the locations weren't even named, some unique items had no description of its unique effects, ******* hilarious sometimes.
The final part of the main quest made me give up on it and start skipping every dialogue out of boredom tho, just a really weird nosedive in pacing. Without much spoilers, it's like the Fade section in Dragon Age Origins but longer and less interesting.

As a tribute to my scopulari army, I nominate "Cthulhu saves the world" for the next month.

Same developer as the Penny Arcade game I recommended before, FYI.Tadeusz wrote: ↑ April 19th, 2026, 15:54As a tribute to my scopulari army, I nominate "Cthulhu saves the world" for the next month.

I'm going to nominate that Penny Arcade game @J1M nominated last month.
Congrats to Zeboyd. I think this is the first time two games from the same developer (that isn't Bioware) have been nominated in the same month.
That game is p.funTadeusz wrote: ↑ April 19th, 2026, 15:54As a tribute to my scopulari army, I nominate "Cthulhu saves the world" for the next month.

This game sucks **** and no one should play it. Ever.
What are the prospects for next month? This looks fun and have been meaning to give this Adventurer's Guild stuff a try.
At a glance: Fallout, Mass Effect 2, Cthulhu Saves The World, and Rain Slick 3 have been nominated.Killagain665 wrote: ↑ April 27th, 2026, 00:55What are the prospects for next month? This looks fun and have been meaning to give this Adventurer's Guild stuff a try.

I have owned Rain Slick for years now and have never played it cause of the weird gameplay changed in the 2nd game ****** me off. I just got done with a Fallout with Fixt mod from No Mutants Allowed so it is low on the list on wanting to replay. HMMMMMMM. ok either Cthulhu Saves The World or Mass Effect 2 would be coin tosses for me on the game to vote for. J1M seems to want "Cleve's game." So if that is Cthulhu Saves The World or Mass Effect 2 I will let my vote go to that.
And what happened to the first to Rain Slick Games? I actually really liked the first one's art style and goofy game play.

What do you mean, what happened? They are on Steam. I nominated the third one because it is the one with the best combat system.Killagain665 wrote: ↑ April 27th, 2026, 03:11I have owned Rain Slick for years now and have never played it cause of the weird gameplay changed in the 2nd game ****** me off. Didn't realize the Zeboyd Games VS Hothead Games dilemma so when I clicked the developer it only popped up the 3rd and 4th games.

"Cleve's game" is Grimoire. Personally, I think a game with over 600 hours of playtime is not a great fit for JAG.

Users report 70-140 hours, not 600. Which puts it in the same ballpark as Baldur's Gate, Underrail, and Morrowind.
JAG is fickle. But Grimoire isn't a 3D open world game with terrible combat so its chances of winning are pretty low.

Are you suggesting Cleve exaggerated!?!

I was wondering why it was taking me so long to make any story progress and then I realized that the journal mashes everything together and I thought a bunch of side quests were main quests. Hopefully I can finish before the end of the month

OK better than having to watch Fallout 1's world map hoping for certain random encounters. It is fun and amazing the first time just not repeatedly hoping for the success on multiple playthroughs.
While I was searching for something, I came across this map collage. I never realized just how large the rest of the act 3 island was outside of the swamp and that it was reserved for multiplayer. That island alone is larger than the combined landmass of the first two islands.
Curious, I searched to find more information on this large island and stumbled upon this, the worldmerge mod. Why anyone would want to pad the game out with even more largely nondescript content is beyond me but nevertheless, it is a thing, though it seems like it's incompatible with versions of the game that include the new non-flying fortress dlc. There is a thread for the mod on the dex that has more information than on the moddb page. Strange find I figured I'd share. Might be something people already knew about.

Fascinating how public perception would sweep this under the rug. The game came out during peak the tacked on multiplayer mania years and yet the both the sheer size of the worldspace and variety in game modes suggest it wasn't nearly as tacked on as one might imagine. Someone at reality pump must've had a giant soft spot for this kind of thing as they could've easily done much worse.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ April 27th, 2026, 18:12iirc two worlds 2 had a rather extensive multiplayer system with PvP etc.,stormvermin wrote: ↑ April 27th, 2026, 17:28While I was searching for something, I came across this map collage. Ok I am down but I will ignore a lot of extra content that doesn't get me to the ending as fast as possible so I can get a badge. Then go back to an earlier save so I can play all the fun stuff with time.J1M wrote: ↑ April 27th, 2026, 01:57Cleve's game.Oyster Sauce wrote: ↑ April 27th, 2026, 01:02At a glance: Fallout, Mass Effect 2, Cthulhu Saves The World, and Rain Slick 3 have been nominated.Killagain665 wrote: ↑ April 27th, 2026, 00:55What are the prospects for next month? Edit: Still kind of hoping for Rain slick 3. Definitely gets me to actually play that and just skip the 2nd game.

You can also get badges for all other AG games if you provide a proof of the game completion in the relevant topic. Or do you want to nominate something for the next month?Killagain665 wrote: ↑ April 27th, 2026, 19:09Ok I am down but I will ignore a lot of extra content that doesn't get me to the ending as fast as possible so I can get a badge.

Edit: And no. No real recommendations as of this second.

The Grimoire hours are not an exaggeration. I could have done 600, but there are multiple starter areas to choose, and some close off other content.
This was all one playthrough.

Cleve was right, about everything.
