Thread to discus the new highly successful pirate survival game.
Video :
I wish that the game had more firearms but to be clear, I don't want anything more advanced than a Ferguson rifle, a Nock gun or a Jezail and even such weapons should be "legendary" end game weapons that very few pirates could own. Like one in the entire game.

It looks like Unreal Engine 5 slop, and the character faces appear soulless, as if they were AI-generated.

This looks way better than last indie pirate game I played (Salt 2), but, as a casual, I'm biased to them making the solo experience better. As an early access is promising, when I have time, and after the devs have released some patches, will def check the game.

Guys, I'm a seasoned gamer. I know for a fact that every game that involves pirates in it is by default going to include a huge quantity of slop in it. You can call Windrose or Ash from a flower, or whatever softcore poetry name you can figure. I am not taking the bait.

The pirate survival game “Windrose” had a serious hidden problem: it was killing your SSD without you knowing.
Normal gameplay like walking around your base caused it to write up to 108 GB of data to your SSD every hour.
This stemmed from an inefficient save system using RocksDB that created too many small files and constant disk activity, which could shorten SSDs life over time.
Players and YouTubers reported the issue, and dev Kraken Express quickly fixed it with a patch that cuts disk writes by 60 to 75% and stops unnecessary CPU spikes
