have a golden oldie:

Outlaw Volleyball, as of today, would be a game that's censored or pulled from the market due to its high hot content.

Many people only know Dead or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball when it comes to steamy volleyball games, but few will be familiar with Outlaw Volleyball.

It's amusing to hear Steve Carrell before he got good acting jobs.
I bet he wishes people never heard this again.

You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.
Reject your retarded-wing political programming and learn to think.

Not good, but will be something inevitable in most countries. There is always the choice to not provide anything and have a peaceful life, without internet.

IIRC there is a bill in California that if it passes, will require operating systems to be registered to your ID. I imagine that Microsoft will end up implementing this globally. Same thing happened when certain states implemented certain laws regulating what ingredients could be in your food, and then companies just decided to change their food products for everywhere rather than just for that one region.

Last I checked, California's bill only requires the OS to ask your age, there's no ID check.

Ori dev Borderlands (as a verb) Quake, Doom, and Duke

Watch the video below and you'll see how I integrated floating damage numbers and health bars into some older FPS games that didn't have either.

Internally, I made the argument that games are always better if players have as direct feedback as possible. And floating damage numbers and healthbars do exactly that:

- Damage Numbers tell me exactly how much damage each action dealt
- Healthbars show me exactly how much progress I made towards the enemies demise

So, how do people generally feel about this stuff? Are you in favor of damage numbers and health bars or against it?

I don't like it for these games in particular.

I doubt about that. It's a Ukrainian game written by a Jew, the nazis are going to be an allusion to Putin and Russia.

4A and Glukhovski already did that in the previous games. The nazis and the commies are fighting against each other in Metro 2033, even though it makes no sense for them to appear in a postapocalyptic Russia mere 20 years after the bombs fell (the nazis even wear stahlhelms and speak with a German accent lol). In Metro Exodus, one of the main characters - Miller - is a paranoid old man with a siege mentality who believes that NATO is about to attack Russia. Also in Metro Exodus at certain point in the story the main characters reach a hidden bunker that belongs to the prewar government, only to find out that the members of the Russian government are a pack of rabid cannibals. Also in Metro Exodus the main characters visit the Caspian sea and fight evil Russians who enslaved the local Kazakhs.

Seems like Glukhovski can't keep his nose out of politics in his stories. I watched tv series The Swamp based on his script. It had a very good premise and beginning but by the end the characters felt like they were completely waisted by the authors and the story itself shifted to became some dumb political allegory about his view on Russians I guess.

I tried watching The Swamps cuz on the surface it looked like a cool mystery show in the vein of Twin Peaks, at that point I didn't know that it was written by Glukhovski. Dropped after the pilot.

I thought it was immediately obvious that the show's gonna be a political pamphlet. Right off the bat it bombards you with "evil gubermint oppressing a young techbro for creating a freedom of speech messenger app" (Durov and Telegram), "muslim girl is running away from her arranged husband" (Kadyrov and the Chechen question), "sellout pro-government agency gathering compromising materials" (Lahta center / Kremlinbots), "young girl running away from her oppressive conservative religious father" (anti-Christian agenda), etc etc. It was so heavy handed it almost felt like a parody.
► Show Spoiler
I hope Iranian military obliterates Glukhovski with a ballistic missile (in Minecraft).

(I'll post this in this thread again as I think it fits better than the one I previously posted it in)

If anyone wants to play a nice little strategy/tactics game set in Warhammer Fantasy (the old, good one) made by a Hungarian studio I highly recommend getting this, the game that got me instantly hooked for Warhammer Fantasy when I was a kid:

It was just released as part of a rerelease of many classic Warhammer games on Steam.
One of the best and most faithful WHFB games out there still to this day.

The character leveling and building, together with their abilities and the mechanics of the battles are great, with a huge difference between using good tactics and just brunt forcing your way.
The game still holds up wonderfully visually, graphic-swise and with it's beautiful art style.
The sound is another thing that still is great paired with one of the best Warhammer soundtracks (by Jeremy Soule) to date, creating still the most immersive and fitting atmosphere I ever experienced in a WH game.
Add to that the surprisingly good characters and story for what they are and this game is really greater than the sum of its parts.
And while there are 3 campaings to play, the only critique I have is that there is not enough of it. Though I'd say the biggest complaint being wanting more of it is one thing any game can be happy to have. The good thing about this of course is that you can finish the whole game in about 3 days probably, I you only play it in that time and it won't take you forever to finish it.

Again, highly recommended if you're interested and can spare about 10 bucks :knight:
