screenshot someone took to show it's "not" blurry and it's completely smudged, are zoomies just unable to see this?? do they know what a game is supposed to look like?
That looks terrible. Rather play modded Skyrim.

Chapter 6 was great, had varied gameplay and kept it interesting till the end. I still don't understand the criticism of the story, even the story was entertaining till now.

tried it and refunded due to poor performance but it's probably a driver issue so ymmv

my feedback is the game is very blurry and I thought it was a me issue but looking at gameplay videos they're just as blurry and it seems something everyone just accepts now, games are smeared in vaseline
also has a weird 'interlacing' issue I can see in screenshots too but is very apparent on particle effects, someone took a picture of their monitor but it's how it looks ingame:
Image
It's 2026, time to upgrade that 1080

Not an issue on my PC, maybe there is a setting you could have turned down or off
circling back to this comment,
here's the recommended specs for Witcher 3:
Recommended:
OS: 64-bit Windows 10/11
Processor: Intel Core i5-7400 / Ryzen 5 1600
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1070 / Radeon RX 480
DirectX: Version 12
Storage: 50 GB available space

Red Dead Redemption 2:
Recommended:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10 - 64-bit
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-4770K / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
Memory: 12 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB / AMD Radeon RX 480 4GB
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 150 GB available space
Sound Card: Direct X Compatible
This game doesn't actually look better than either of those titles so I don't think it should actually need anything better than a 1070. :turtle dance:

Are you using reshade with a sharpening filter? It's not 'blurry' but it's extremely noisy

Radeon sharpening 20%. I must confess, I do find sometimes the graphics being quirky, has some problems, but I think that they should fix it with patches, cause other times it looks beautiful. For example, model quality Low Vs. Cinematic doesn't seem to have any difference whatsoever, clearly some deep bugs withing settings. I understand some complains, but for me, the moment to moment counts more (cool armor, trying moves etc.) than panoramic scenery and LOD (NPCs disappear completely after a distance is a thing, may impact some, not me).

Yeah the game has suffered on a technical level with the patches but it's minor annoyances at most for me, my game isn't blurry but I have everything fully maxed out. I think they'll have the game in a technically better state soon, not surprised with the really rushed patches that there's some graphics issues

Are there even quests to find the hidden gear with resists on them? Seemed Synth used a guide or chat to find some of those...and the world is so gigantic that I doubt most people would find those on their own while exploring.

I had a problem with ice resistance (about 40 hours in the game) until I found the cloak that gives +5 and I have no fear of cold status now. If you must know

I even found hidden stuff in Abyss, some floating rocks and hidden mechanism had a great abyss enhancement that gives 6% stamina regen, so I feel like I've missed a lot, cause I didn't searched previous puzzle zones that thorough.

After a while you start to pick up on the tells for hidden loot alcoves. Unless you're DSP, you're gonna flub your way into some of them eventually. Waterfall? There's probably a cave behind you can charge stab into. Metal grate? Look for torches. Suspicious square patch on a wall? Dangle and force palm it. The game literally tells you about using focused force palm on bismuth, etc etc.

The CEO partially agreed with the criticism that the story is lacking and explained that they did their best but focused more on the gameplay.

My opinion is that there was pressure from low score that IGN and other gave, stock gone low in first days. It is also the fault of PA PR that made it clear in any occasion they had that this game should be considered a sandbox for combat and exploration (and everybody had preconceptions because of that). I find it that you can't enjoy the game if you don't like the story, I wouldn't play it otherwise. A streamer, Cohhcarnage, went from not caring for the story to being invested and impressed by chapters 4 and ongoing (watching a bit of his impression up until where I am to avoid spoilers). Max Dood stopped playing even if he was impressed by the fun he had in one of the streams, because he didn't even tried to go a bit with the flow of the story (he said the PA told him to ignore the story, and that's that).

I didn't finish the story, but for their first single player project is good up till now (they shouldn't have had the investigation type quests with questions and answers, it's really bad done, but other than that some scenes are even epic, when you go to battle with multiple allies alongside or marching against foes, cutscenes and transition to action, fight choreography, epic stuff in sidequests like Staglord post battle speech, bad stuff are being balanced and even ignored courtesy of the great stuff etc.). One of the best decision that they did: keep fixed protagonist, Kliff and his 2 sidekicks. This avoided the character creation, A/B and many more stuff that would have made me hate the game (not having romance option is also a big plus; fandom people are in shamble).

I have seen gameplay with a whole armorset for cold resist. But no idea what you mean with "tells for hidden loot alcoves". I was just asking if you get directions to the locations even. Since most people wont look behind every waterfall if the first 5 had nothing behind them. And without that most stuff is just easiely missable without a guide in a world as big as that. And there is more vegetation than in a Breath of Wild which makes spotting hidden caves even more harder.
