When you say it broke those two elements, does the game is still playable and continue normally after "skipping" those part ?

Or does it put a halt in the playthrough ? Because if so a warning message about those should be put on the page.

Here is a Patch request for anyone passing by that could and want to do it ;

In the game there are multiple moment where you can take decisions against Shadowheart.
With the original mod, the first moment lead her to recieve a God Mode buff that make her immune to everything, leading to a forced Game Over. That have been fixed in my No God Mode version.

The second moment, once you made that choice all of your companions leave the group back to camp, when you talk to them there they will give you the "I hate you and i'm permanently leaving" speech, some of them will start a fight leaving the player in a 1vX that will most likely lead you to a Game Over.

This is what give me technical difficulties, as I can't figure out how to fully fix that, there is always something breaking in all of my attempts.
So far I have only managed to stop them from permanently leaving and from attacking the player, BUT the Journal still got updated with them "leaving" and so i believe it end all their on going quests.


Here are the "damage control" version i managed so far if you wish, untill a proper fix is eventually made, Those are Highly Experimental :

- Jaheira and Wyll no longer turn hostile, their quest Journal does not change as they are supposed to fight 'till you kill them, and fight again once resurected, instead of leaving, I believe.
They will still give you the "I hate you" speech, but nothing come of it and the next time you talk to them is like nothing happened.

- All other companions however will leave the group. I could force them to stay but i don't know what kind of issues keeping them in wile their Journal entries have marked them as gone could have.

Tbh I can see a large amount of your companions turning on you if you betray Shadowheart like that but she shouldn't be given an invulnerable god state. It's like if you kill your lover in act 2 as dark urge, it should still have a hefty consequence.

I agree it should have consequences, but not a Game Over. If it was up to me I would have turn the vanilla approval loss to x3 / x4. (Assuming it's -10~20 ?)
Or having only the good companions leave, not ALL of them.

I think having everyone leave + the "good" ones attack the players (including ravengard / aylin / isobel, not only companions) just feel like yet another attempt of the author to **** with people's save if they don't play as he want them to.
"At least" this time there is no God Mode, but it still trigger an unwinable fight so it's pretty much as if, if you ever speak to one of the concerned companions.

I still think quite a few companions should turn on you so there are significant consequences for a particularly heinous betrayal. The fact that literally nothing happens in the base game if you turn over a close companion (and my favorite romance) in a very douchey way is pretty immersion breaking imo. I think there should be hefty consequences + a decent chunk of your companions turn on you such as Minsc, Wyll or Karlach. Your mod though. Just remove the god mode from Shadowheart if she turns on you too.

If the mod was modified, it would have to be modified by a modder. The only thing that could be better is if said modder that modified the mod was also a moderator.

You might as well call it "theft" to use the Pythagorean theorem in a math problem or a for loop in a script. Maybe the morphic pool bug could be related to this? I might be spitballing but this could be a possible culprit

Maybe she does in a later dialogue that require more than 10 Approval ? It could require more conditions, such as the Tiefling party or some other event.
The No God Mode version only change the God Mode file, in that file there is only stats changes regarding that and some other buffs the mod add that i left unchanged, so there is no reason for anything else to be different.

Were you using the "Lite" Add-on before ? it does revert some change of Act 1 flags and approval.

Do you know who Wrye is?

Eitherway, he summed it up as Parlor vs Cathedral. It used to be that you'd just make what you wanted to, and people would edit, change, or reuse it. It was about sharing things in good faith. But like all good things, it never lasts. Between patent law, copyright, trademarks, and other things it became very closed shop. Bethesda's attempt at paid mods almost killed 'good faith' modding entirely.

No I wasn't using lite, I never use lite mode, and I had more than 10 approval after conversations during a long rest in the dungeon before I reached the grove, and normally I always get her thank you line and approval to trigger at this point in previous versions back before I found this site. It actually works now that I've shuffled my load order around. Still troubleshooting though. Other problems were also fixed on my end like SH's underwear popping through her armor while she falls out of her pod.
