Red Dead Redemption 2

Post by Eyestabber »

HOLY ****, this game is ******* boring. Who the **** said this was a masterpiece? Hope whoever praised this turd dies of painful *** cancer. Controls are clunky, everything is ******* slow and HOLY **** are these the most chatty and boring outlaws in the history of boredom. The shooting is also garbage (only managed to shoot a handful of thugs is like 10 minutes), my character is walking around in cement shoes while also having shat his pants.

TL;DR: kill all zoomers.

Dan Houser left R* and founded another studio - Absurd Ventures in Games
No news of anything on their site or socmedia as of yet. Their site is a bit weird. Hopefully he can pull something off.

Wouldn't get my hopes up. He's the clown that set Rockstar on their current path with GTA IV. All their games being nihilistic, depressing, boring slop is a direct result of his involvement.

He's credited as writer on Bully, Vice City and San Andreas. V was quite comical relative to IV as well. I guess we'll see.

San Andreas is when they started with the moralfag protagonist nonsense that so horribly clashes with GTA's core gameplay loop. I'll admit that Chinatown Wars was a return to form with the protagonist, but it's all been downhill since.

The guy is middle-aged, likely married and with a child (or children), dropping T-counts and starting to worry about his "legacy" or thinking it's his duty to leave the world a better place for his children, so cue preachy, moralizing stories.

He's lost the spark and is likely only capable of ******** out stories about sad sacks of **** like Niko or Kratos or some other tired, old dad protagonist, because that's all his life is now.
