I knew this **** was an expansion. Why the hell didn't the showcase highlight that? They just said Granblue on switch soon and thats it.
Might have to play it before the expansion hits.

Pokemon Gen 10 announced

The characters now look a lot like Tite Kubo's designs for Shin Sakura Wars.

Bravely Default is finally on PC. Never played it but it's on my backlog so this is good news.

Hmm, didn't even cross my mind as I see that happen mostly in remakes rather than remasters. :pipe-thinking: But there are some Steam discussions about censored outfits and dialogue but I can't confirm much as I haven't played it.

2 is a 2021 Switch game released on PC slightly later in the same year, so I imagine it was always intended to be multiplatform and designed with that in mind.
1 is a 2012 3DS game, I imagine much harder to port to PC.

I remember there being a mild controversy about the NA version of the original 3DS game having a censored outfit. I'd be surprised if they did more than carry over the original censorship, but it's worth looking into.

I played BD1 last year, the de-censored 3DS version. It has a fun job system but overall I don't really recommend it, the latter half of the game is such a drag it's actually unreal. I got to the last boss and dropped it which is something I almost never do, I just couldn't bring myself to care about it anymore. There's a lot of dialogue I could see them censoring for "misogyny" but I have no idea how much they touched in the new port

I'd be willing to try other games in the series at some point but I'm not in a hurry to

If you're in this section of the forum then I recommend you take a look at this, its actually a cool collection of indie japanese RPGs. No clue how they even got translated.
https://makerburns.github.io/Game-List/
You ought to at least look at Ruina: Fairy Tale of Forgotten Dreams, Enchant Farm, 7th Stand User, and Seraphic Blue (in descending order of importance). Check to see if your browser doesn't screw up the saves.

https://catbox.moe/c/jwrxup
Also this, I haven't played most of them and they're mostly less serious than the above games but I sense they're worth a look.

Huh. I'd rather play them locally for various reasons, but this is nevertheless really cool. I have a few of these downloaded already, so thanks for the reminder to try them.

New information on Granblue Fantasy Relink: Endless Ragnarok has just dropped a few hours ago.

One of the Evokers, Fraux, has been announced to be playable. The World - the final boss from the Evoker/Arcanum story - will also be a boss here. Not sure if it is going to be a Lucilius difficulty superboss.

Image

Most surprisingly, an ingame model of one of the later GBF characters was shown off. Fediel, one of the Six Dragons. She is also new listed on the website and in the cast lineup for Endless Ragnarok, so presumably she will be playable?

Image

It is unusual because up until this point, Relink was only focusing on early characters. Maybe this will open the door for the best Six Dragon Ewiyar to get in, or other later characters. Will the best dragon, his majesty the magnificent Ewiyar get in? He has two different playable versions, including a Grand limited, and a $20 cash shop skin. He's a seller. Well all of the other dragons got grands and skins too, but come on! He's gotta make it!

Image

They are adding Conflux, which is your standard gacha game roguelite mode like Divergent Universe/Shiyu Defense where you sprint through different rooms and pick between different buffs or items. This will be singleplayer only.

Image

They said that there is more to be announced, so I presume that means that there will be at least one more character besides Fediel.

What a weird video.

It's our 40th anniversary! Also we don't know what we're doing so we have to restart making the next game from scratch.

Octopath is not great. There is also no reason why devs can't take a break from pumping out franchise games and make one offs. Nihon Falcom did not stop producing Trails games when they detoured to make Tokyo Xanadu. Atlus didn't stop producing SMT and Persona games when they deteoured to make Metaphor ReFantazio. Gust did not stop producing Atelier games when they deteoured to make Blue Reflection. And so on. And we still have (actually good) turn based JRPGs still coming out like Trails, HSR, Reverse 1999, etc. Utawarerumono #5 just came out last week.

"HD 2D" is a really ugly art style and I dislike octopath for helping popularize it.
