I think it suffers from the "too much fantasy gobbledygook" problem. The writing is just full of ******** nonsense.
It's like if Pillars of Eternity had an engwithan term every 2nd word instead of every 5th.

I hate that in dialogue, but its ok in contexts like books or old coots with a lore dump. Its like the lowry's of writing.

A lot of it looks like it took inspiration from Septerra Core.

I will give it that the later chapters look a lot more unique.
