Kondo has revealed that the final Trails game will be releasing in 2032. It will feature a new protagonist. So it seems that there are only 3 or 4 more games left total if they interweave new annual game releases with at least a couple new Ys games. Trails Beyond the Horizon 2, maybe an epilogue Horizon game like with Trails in the Sky the 3rd and Trails Into Reverie. And then maybe the ending will be a two parter.

After Reverie released, Kondo held a reddit AMA and said that there were three more arcs planned. But it sounds like we might be leaping straight from Calvard to the final arc? So was the 3rd arc cancelled?

I'm not sure I trust Kondo to tell me what he's doing in 3 hours let alone 6 years from now
