I'm not much for most of his content, but this is an important story about how companies have again ****** gaming.
In one way for the better, but in another for the worse.
TL;DR whole legacy sites hollowed out and full of deliberately faked "reviewers" that are AI aggregates not actually making a functional review.

I'd take a game where everyone is gay as long as everyone is unambiguously White (no light browns) (only if the game doesnt force me to be gay) over any game with any niggerlikes in it even if all niggerlikes were straight. The only niggerlikes I'm okay with are completely optional AND must be killeable. I want to spend the rest of my life not seeing subhumans. I love Whites so much. Living among White people only should be a White right. Especially since we are a global hyperminority. Especially small nations like the Irish.

Okay is a bit of an overstatement. More of a begrudging acceptance if compromises are necessary but they really shouldn't be. ******* can make own ****** games full of *******. Leave me alone.

So the actual shills got laid off guess a win then. Only gameplay videos and certain youtubers can be trusted anyway but thats the case for more than a decade now.

I like Max Payne 3 and LA Noire. Both are Rockstar. And both feel like I am getting into a tank when starting to play them. Slow boot up, slowish loading times, unskippable cutscenes etc. It just zaps the fun out of the whole experience.

Is Dragon's Dogma 1 worth playing? I played it 3 years ago for 2 hrs but never touched it again. It just never really clicked for me, so my question is should I give it one more try?

GTA5 is also a piece of **** like that. For all its faults CP77 had very fast loading screens even at launch.

They mostly fixed that with the enhanced edition, takes about 10 to 20 seconds max compared to the old version.

The cutscenes in LA Noire are literally a part of the game, you're supposed to analyze people if they're telling the truth, half truth or completely lying. Unless you're talking about the other type of cutscenes I can't remember if you can skip them or not.

For Max Payne 3 there's a mod that allows you to skip most if not all cutscenes, basically mandatory for repeat playthroughs in my opinion as 80% are unskippable for no reason.

Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) and Burnout 3 Takedown are the 2 best racing/driving/car games ever created and I'll hear no arguments whatsoever

I think it's worth giving it another go. Early game is a bit of a slog, but once you unlock the skills/vocations you actually want to use, the combat gets really satisfying. A lot of the game is half-baked, but the combat is makes it all worth it imo. I ran out of meaningful things to do long before I stopped having fun, which is always tragic. I found the "infinite" postgame dungeon awful; Dark Arisen's dungeon is great though.

Personally I recommend looking up what abilities are available and how to acquire them, because the Japs can't make anything straightforward. Warrior and Sorcerer are both amazing, and Ranger has some cool stuff as well if I recall. If the restrictions on which weapons can be equipped in which slot annoys you like it did me, there is a mod which removes that. Other than that, there are a few interesting early dungeons which are easy to outlevel, so beware of that.

The game has a tendency to create funny and tense moments naturally, so I have a lot of fond memories of it. The music is outstanding and adds to the struggle and triumph. There's also a real sense of discovery as you explore. Overall it's got a nice blend of jank and seriousness that is really enjoyable.

It's one of those games that take a while to get going. I remember buying it in 2016 or so, trying it for a couple of hours, and dropping it, thinking 'wtf is this, where are the interesting quests and other rpg stuff?'. Tried the game again, suffered through the opening hours until you reach Gran Soren, and only then it clicked. The important part for me was to stop treating it as a conventional rpg with stories and sidequests, and just hike around the place while beating monsters. The world is sadly very small, but it's one of the best fantasy action-rpgs when it comes to emulating the sense of adventuring through wilderness.

BTW the game has a built-in expansion "Dark Arisen", in which you travel to Bitterblack isle for some endgame content. Easily the best part of the game, but should be saved until later.

i found the movement augs being restricted to specific vocations to be more annoying. I understand that it makes sense for the rangers and assassins to have exclusive access to double jumps and dodge-rolls, but playing with these augs unlocked causes the other vocations feel painfully slow and clunky.
