Beards are gay. I can't look at them because of soyboys. Clean shaven Nazi supremacy.

I smooth-talked my way out of it. Had to dip into some PR-speak, unfortunately. But I wasn’t about to give them the satisfaction of getting me gkicked.
just don't be in a gay guild
I'm done with WoW tbh, I may linger around in the guild a bit longer just so they don't think they won, but I'm definitely quitting soon. I’ve noticed that the more competitive the guild is, the more zest-and-Skittles types it seems to attract.

There are a few, one of them is a healer for us. middle aged, sounds pretty cute, that's all I know about her. The other two are ditch-licking *****, one of them even has a YT channel and she looks ******* disgusting.

Only gay as **** dnd has elves without beards. Even Tolkien Elves can have beards though that requires them to be immensely old (about 20000 years. Most notable elves were Cirdan and Mahtan) I find it very lazy from blizzard that the addon that has elves as the prominent races won't give them new customization yet the trolls do when you complete the zul aman storyline

I have reached level 88 and finished the Midnight levelling questline.
► Zone #4: The Voidstorm
Only thing left to do is to reach level 90 to start on the level cap questline.

It is very disappointing that you cannot seamlessly travel to the Voidstorm by flying up into the portal in the sky, like entering the Caverns of Time, Zaralek Cavern, or the hyperspace flightpaths in Shadowlands. Instead, this is yet another zone in its own isolated instance that you reach by... clicking on a teleporter. Very adventurous!

I expect the next patch to be le light was the enemy all along and xalath was protecthing us from it and this arathor empire will somehow invade azeroth because why not. Also why is there in every expansion a character who has group therapy sessions? I see this in Anduin, now in Arator who will be next? That black gay lesbian with one hand?

It's been every other chapter at this point for three expansions now.

Dragonflight:

Alexstraza in the Waking Shores, the Thaldrazus drakonoid riot subplot, and in the Vyranoth subplot keeps moping about how the dragons failed or some crap. Infuriatingly, she acts conciliatory to Vyranoth, the member of the big bad triumvirate that is trying to kill everyone and return the world to ye good ole days of tentacle empires. Our hero and leader on the box art is not allowed to be confident and stand up for our team living.

Onh'arn plains questline: the weak emasculated male centaur shaman has to be constantly coaxed along to finally do his job and do the ritual and summon the spirits.

Azure Span: Kalecgos the thousand+ year old dragon super wizard is mopey and has to be coaxed and receive life lessons from the Tuskarr chieftainess.

Baine questline: Baine mopes about how he had held on to his hate of the cannibalistic centaurs who nearly drove his people to extinction as if that was a wrong thing to do.

Return to the Forbidden Reach and Abberus questline: Emberthal and Ebyssian are mopey about Neltharion. Sabelian and Wrathion get robbed of their inheritance to succeed Neltharion as the earth warder, because being confident and proactive makes you too much like dad who was evil. So the passive do-nothing cow Ebyssian becomes the next Black Dragon aspect.

The War Within:

Ringing Deeps: Moira guilt trips her father into feeling bad because she ran away for the evil bad boy dwarf, had his baby, the dad was a demon worshipper and went to war against Moira's people killing them, Magni had to fight back to defend his people and Moira's lover got killed, leaving Moira without a husband and her son without a father. Moira blames Magni for this, while also wanting to have it both ways and still be a Bronzebeard and for her son to inherit both thrones.

Hallowfall: Anduin feels bad

Kirin Tor: Khadgar talks about how bad the Kirin Tor were for... having a cool defensible flying city, teaching people magickm and policing evil mages.

Undermine: Gazlowe has to wax poetic about how much he hates Undermine and doesn't want to go back and how he was ditching his responsibility to step up and take over and how they have to do things right this time.

Arathi: Danath has to mope about how being proud of your heritage and wanting what is best for your people makes you bad.

Midnight:

Zul'Aman: the middle section of the questline is you and Zul'jarra the princess of the Amani going around to four temples to get the blessings of the Loa and becoming their first chosen Hash'ey in generations. The Loa didn't bless her father Zul'jin because he was a warmonger in TBC, and the Amani people view this as a punishment for the whole group. So Zul'jarra is moping a bit (though nowhere near as badly as prior WoW characters). You, Liadrin, the Loa, and the troll chieftains and prophets have to keep reassuring her that she is not her father and is not evil and is the Loa's chosen one.

Harandar: Orenywa is constantly breaking the tribe's (stupid) isolationist rules and is thus on the elder's shitlist and given little to no support in her fight against the evil Light infused monsters. She mopes several times about how bad her people are, and towards the end has to get a motivational talk from another outcast warrior about how what she is doing is actually right and she should do it with her head held high.

Eversong Woods and Arator questline: Arator keeps being a downer about paladining, and throws paladinhood (the collective group of all paladins) under the bus a few times saying they are too "zealous" which will lead them to evil and such.

Ironically, the only character in recent memory who is absolutely confident and is not insinuated to be wrong by the narrative is Sylvanas. When you visit her in the Maw at the end of TWW, she says that she did what she had to do and has no regrets. Whereas other characters who are confident (Baelgrim, Wrathion, Sabelian, Turalyon) get framed as being wrong by the narrative.

I also remember being incredibly frustrated by that Shadowlands patch questline where Uther is mopey and concludes that it was wrong for him to viewed Arthas as evil and to have fought him, and that he should actually have "been there for him".

The moral of the story lately has been that you can't feel good about fighting to save your people or to destroy evil. Whenever you sally out to fight the enemy or evil, either 1. you are on the verge of becoming just like them (somehow) or 2. you are slightly connected to the enemy in some way and now must feel bad about their situation (regardless of whether or not you are really responsible for it).

I think we can spreadsheet the last 4 years of WoW questlines.
Zone/chapter questlineMale main character (heroic and right)Confident but demonized male main characterWimpy/apologetic main male characterFemale main character (heroic and right)Wimpy or negative portrayal of the female main characterNotes
The Forbidden Reach------------Emberthal----------
Waking Shores----Wrathion----Alexstraza*-----Depiction of Alexstraza is overall neutral since she feels bad about her people and the oathstones in this chapter at one point too
Ohn'ahran Plains--------Centaur shaman guyVarious----------
Old Hatreds----Baine------------------
Azure Span--------KalecgosTuskarr Chieftainess----------
Return to the Forbidden Reach---------Ebyssian----Emberthal-----
Abberus----Wrathion and SabellianEbyssian----Emberthal-----
Dawn of the Infinite------------Chromie-----Nozdormu is present and is not condemned but doesn't do anything.
Emerald Dream------------Alexstraza, Vyranoth----------
Misfit Dragons----Tyr----Vyranoth----------
Dark Heart------------Alleria----------
Isle of Dorn----Baelgrim----High Speaker Brinthe----------
Ringing Deeps---------MagniMoira----------
Hallowfall---------AnduinFaerin----------
Azj-KahetThe VizierThe General----Alleria, the Weaver-----Anduin is present towards the end but does nothing
Kirin Tor---------Khadgar----Jaina-----
Undermine--------Gazlowe*---------Gazlowe is very hesitant and is a downer for much of the duration of the chapter.
Arathi---------DanathFaerin----------
K'aresh--------Locus Walker*Alleria, Ven'ari-----*Locus Walker is an overall pretty good character but comes off as a gullible fool towards the end, and doesn't actually do much himself.
The Warning--------AratorSylvanas----------
Sunwell defenseLor'themarTuralyon--------------------
Eversong WoodsUmbricTuralyonArator--------------
Zul'Aman----Zul'jan----Zul'jarra, Liadrin----------
Harandar----------------Orenwya-----
Arator's Journey----TuralyonArator--------------
VoidstormUmbricLothraxion, RommathAratorAlleria-----Depiction of Alleria and Decimus is neutral

What this has made me realize is that we are 2/3 expansions and 10/18 zones into the Worldsoul Saga (a little over half way through), and yet Anduin and Thrall who were promoted as the main characters have barely appeared. The only main questline characters who have appeared across several questlines so far have been Alleria and now Arator.

He is in Midnight, but has only had minor cameos in the main story so far.

He got teleported to the Sunwell along with all of the other notable paladin and priest characters in the game (Dezco, Aponi Brightmane, Taelia, etc). During the Sunwell intro, you find him and Faerin defending a gazebo where the wounded are being taken to.

Later on you bring back holy weapons from Light's Hope Chapel to recharge the paladins who are channeling the Light into the Sunwell to keep the Voidstorm overhead at bay, and Anduin is one of them.

There is a part where Umbric is captured by paladins when he got near the Sunwell, and Anduin is standing in front and is trying to stop them from lopping Umbric's head off.

What is quite bizarre is that Anduin here is a sidenote when he should be a huge deal in Midnight.

After the death of Varian at the start of Legion, Anduin succeeded Varian as king of Stormwind and as High King of the Alliance, one of the two dominant superpowers. In Battle for Azeroth, he is tied with Warchief Sylvanas as the most important decision maker and person in the world. In 8.3 the Horde disbands the Warchief system and spreads out power amongst a Horde Council, leaving Anduin as the number one most important man in the world. He gets kidnapped by the Mawsworn at the start of Shadowlands and then vanishes for five years as he goes on a road trip, with Turalyon becoming regent of Stormwind and of the Alliance in his place. He comes back in TWW to help out in Khaz Algar, the rest of the world didn't know about Khaz Algar, and not much major happens there that is relevant globally.

In Midnight, Quel'thelas - the Northern most kingdom on the Alliance's home continent - is facing oblivion. Both the Alliance's High King, Prophet Velen, and the regent AND the Army of the Light that is loyal to the regent all get teleported to the Sunwell. Once you finish the Sunwell defense, Turalyon goes to the capital building in Silvermoon, the Sanctum of Light, to command the situation and negotiate with Quel'thelas' sovereign, Lor'themar. But shouldn't the High King be doing this? Turalyon is better known for his talents as a general anyway. And this would be Anduin's opportunity to reestablish himself on the world stage and to reassure his people that their sovereign is back.

I made a Haranir and they still talk to me as if I am an Outsider - an N'wah -

One NPC that gives you Quests in the starting area says "Stranger..." "Go... now!" "What do you want?" "Do not return!"

wtf, did they literally just cobble this addon together and call it a day?
