I never could get past few acts in owlcat games to be honest, they all feel rather unrealistic or stale for me,with the lacky humour and gender equality in a medieval setting.I havent played the old classics like bg1/2 icewind dale etc. but was there anything similiar happening in these games?

New survey about future dlcs, the usual owlcat survey. Haven’t finished any of the expansions so my eyes just glided through this. You get to rank what you would potentially like the most in your dream companion. Gender is in there and so is sexuality. Potentially ugly steps in the wrong direction.
Wish I cared enough about owlpoop games to fill it out
I asked them not to put ugly ******* in their games

Never tried it. With games like this or BG3, I just don't see the appeal of coop at all. They seem like the worst type of game to play coop, being on the contrary made to specifically be played single player with taking your time, talking to people, the turn based combar and the narrative only applying to one character. Just the way the games are structured overall.

Or maybe I just don't get the appeal of it.

They told or someone leaked i already forgot that the dlc is going to have trazyn + solemnace. You would be kidnapped by him or invited by him or something of a sort. He has some kind of special interest with you because of course he has

EDIT: forgot to add how i believe they are going to ruin his character somehow because the writing team is abysmal of this game

I wish devs stopped making co-op games like this. It is a waste of resources, both devs and QA testing. They should focus on a good single-player game. There's TONS of multiplayer games. No need for co-op. It just takes away from what could've been an even better SP experience.

Like they literally don't even need to make co-op. Modders WILL make a co-op mod if the community desires it, like they did with Elden Ring and whatnot. It is a totally ******** project manager choice to include it in the development cycle. I feel the same way about a photo-mode.

I'm sure it was very hard for modders to add coop to a game that has coop multiplayer

Giving necrons any character at all was a bewildering choice. They should be characterless.

Seriously, where's the fear at in this setting? Oh no, its rosie the robot. Run. **** off. Eat a bag of dicks for making all this lore. Disney ****** capeshit for reddit. You know how embarassing these games are? I can't even play them. Dawn of War should never have sold out to games workshop.

There is no fear anymore, only black female guardsmen who kill 100s of chaos space marines with just one bullet.

Space Kings isn't a parody. It is NormieK. It is what 40K is behind the marketing ********.

If this game was made in true classic 40k fashion, then half or more of your companions would've been inevitably dead by the end of the story, and your choices throughout the plot would've been what determines which ones survive and which ones don't.

That's kinda how it was in Kingmaker, to think that Owlcat made grimdark better in their very first CRPG.

And tbh, I would've been more than okay with only 2 or 3 of the companions being alive by the end of this story. That's how forgettable most Rogue Trader companions are.

Deep underground on forgotten worlds, mysterious creatures of living metal are waiting for the galaxy to become theirs once again. Be wary, Lord Captain, for that time may be closer than you think.

I have tried the base game multiple times and it just wasn't it. The ruselet is awful and trashy, the game itself is rather boring and repetitive, the characters are rather forgettable, boring, and they had to have a magical ****** (who I threw out of airlock). Didn't get to the end because it got so dreadfully boring by commoragh that I just didn't have the will to finish it. The alternative paths don't feel interesting or cool, and gameplay (partially as a consequence of **** underlying systems) isbjust extremely boring. It's not helped by everything being turn based and taking ages.

So that said, not even intrigued by any of their dlc. Hard to drum up any excitement for more slop for a dogshit game.
