I used to think all that **** did not really bother me but halfway through Wrath of the Righteous I started making mercs so I could actually like more of my party - Sheelah is the worse companion ever and she is not even gay she is just the worst goddamned Paladin of all time.

I quit the game when the 'evil' option was scolding her, a ******* PALADIN, for robbing a dead soldier.

I did not quit the game and constantly told her how stupid she was until she felt bad. I told her how unprofessional she was being and it was nice. Then I just did not use a Paladin the entire game.

This is the post where I point out Weird West looks like a fun game and is on sale but I don't know.

I've had my eyes on it for a while, but it reeks of pozz. Game opens up with a stronk female bounty hunter. There's apparently no White, heterosexual male protagonist you can play as among the playable characters, and that's a huge red flag.

Would be thankful if someone could weigh in and clarify if the game is worth the bother.

It's not. It's worst crime is that it's the most boring immersive sim* ever made.

*Immersive sim is defined as a game that lets you stack barrels and climb on them. (Yes @rusty_shackleford, I'm aware of BG3.)

Godot's custom physics engine was a complete disaster, current recommended situation is to use the Jolt plugin which will become the default in a new version of the engine in the not-too-far future.

Hello, I was wondering if you guys have ever considered (or would consider) creating a "Classic EQ" server on which players would be restricted to the original continents and the level 50 limit?

I think this would be a great way for people who are newer to EQ to experience the original EQ gameplay, and for "old school" players to re-experience it.

This is certainly an interesting idea. But we just don’t plan to do it.

A restricted server like that would require separate code, and a lot more programming time that you might think. It would, basically, be a different game with different code, and that’s the sort of thing that we try to avoid. Also, well, I suspect it wouldn’t appeal to all that many people.

Honestly, why would we want to make a server who’s main feature is, well, fewer features?

I feel like Valve wouldn't have done that if not for Bethesda's Quake 1&2's remasters.

Opposing Force didn't receive an updated HUD, just the menu and some other HL-specific improvements. The main menu splash screen looks borked, lacks an animated logo too. Blue Shift doesn't work at all.

Looks like Valve only bothered to update their own game, while the Gearbox's expansions got shafted. Too bad.

That was a great doc. It was very cool to see the process and memories the team had. Funny how the only woman on the team complains through the whole video, unappreciative of the fact that she was on a team of brilliant and passionate people who helped propel her to where she is in life.
