Overview
Changes darker skin tone NPCs to be white. Also changes hairstyles where appropriate.

Affected characters: Adeline, Eiland, Hemlock, Josephine, Landen, Luc, Maple, Merri, Reina, Ryis, and Vera.

Changes tutorial images that contain black or dark-skinned characters to be white.

Changes a tutorial image that seems to feature two boys kissing to be a boy and a girl kissing.

Installation Instructions

1. Create a mods folder in your Fields of Mistria game folder.
2. Install the Mods of Mistria Installer (MOMI). https://github.com/Garethp/Mods-of-Mistria-Installer
3. Install the mod with MOMI.

Thanks all. Updated the main post to use the template and added a new version of the mod.

As for Vera's haircut, I don't like it either, but I don't know that I could draw/copy their art style well enough to make major changes to it. If there's enough interest I could try to change her hair more.

Hey that's awesome. I tried doing something similar myself - not becase I like the game, I have never played it, just found the ******* annoying and I was bored, here are some results:
I used a python script to recolor the HUNDREDS of portraits for each character but ngl the result was far from perfect. I did not go through all of then but the ones I did are 100% fixed



So you don't think I'm racist I actualy kept and improved one of the *******


Also cured yellow fever

The ******* are very annoying, but at least the dialogue isn't full of ********, which is why this game is a great candidate for this.

One thing that was annoying to deal with with the recolors, and it would be a problem for a quick recolor script, is if characters have jewelry most of the time it shares one of the skin colors, so I had to always work around it by manually deselecting it. I had to redo a couple people because I didn't realize it right away.

Your Vera reminds me of Brigitta from Metaphor: ReFantazio. Although every time I talked to her I wished she was pale.

These are actually looking pretty good. Clean enough to copy properly. I kinda like the messier one but we can see if you get anything else that looks good.

Classic anime, make a character indistiguishable from any other white/asian character, paint it dark, go "look guys, dark-skins are just like us!"

Nope. Too much work for an insignificant character. She's not romanceable and other than maybe seeing her in random cutscenes, you never have to talk to her.
