A couple of random Steam Next Fest thoughts...

I appreciate devs who let their demos remain playable after Next Fests. Normally, the first few days are just for searching and looking for recommendations. It won't be til I have a block of time that I'll actually launch anything to genuinely play.

I have 0 desire to play any demo for a game that revolves or centers around telling a story. So, any cRPGs have basically been soft-blacklisted until they actually release.

Finally, it's comical how quickly my brain will turn against a game after initially launching it. Within essentially seconds, my brain will know if I'm actually going to want to continue playing/fighting with the game.

I always thought this was a dumb name because all video game art is made of pixels.

They probably didn't even do anything but change the requirements in the description :D

Imagine needing 32gb ram for a Lego game.

Let us know if it is any good.
I'm not hyped but might pick it up in future if it is decent.

In the case of Xbox, it's actually the case. The original Xbox guy called it.
MicroJeets are obsessed with AI and she's from an AI division.
He says she's there to quietly dismantle the gaming division and all developers in order to replace it all with AI slop, if possible.
After all, gaming is like 5% of their revenue, but it's still not enough profit for them. Devs cost money. What if AI could just create games on the fly for morons subscribing?
MicroJeets have taken AI on as a kind of religion and it's hilarious.

You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

I like the idea of a Crimson Desert, but I have no interest in playing that particular weird oriental **** with ogres commonly wandering around town and literal robots and such.

I don't typically follow hype cycles, so my brain has weirdly merged Crimson Desert with Where Winds Meet. Any specific features or gameplay mechanics each of them have, I've probably attributed to the other in my head. That said, at least WWM is free. I'm not sure what CD could do to justify me throwing down on some cash. I guess I'll need to look into it more.

Reading any reddit thread (yes, any of them, they chime in obsessively about Trump), you'd think the entire economy is in shambles because of tariffs and it's all Trumps fault, but hell if I can see it other than computer parts. Real estate prices are stabilized, gas is less, I got a big raise and a tax refund, and stocks are way up.
