Can you think of any others?
Would you have preferred if VTMB had a more fleshed out equipment system?

99% of found weapons being vendor trash worse than the starter weps while also limiting you to carrying ONE additional sword/axe/mace was a phenomenally ******** decision. When I replayed the game a few years ago, I used some mod that let you throw any item into any slot just so I could sell **** without making 30 trips across entire act maps for a couple hundred orens.Oyster Sauce wrote: β February 18th, 2026, 19:55Witcher 1 has like 2 upgrades and the rest is vendor loot meant to be sold. Probably less than VTMB.
No. I liked it the way it was.rusty_shackleford wrote: β February 18th, 2026, 19:50Would you have preferred if VTMB had a more fleshed out equipment system?
The only other example of such RPG that I can remember right now is The Bard's Tale from 2005.MrTwinkls wrote: β September 8th, 2025, 22:40The less items a game has the better in my opinion. VTMB is a good example. Every acquired item has more significance, you stop rummaging through every container like a bum, money shifts its role from being a medium for item exchange to be more of a tool for various plot progression, etc. Many benefits to consider, less annoying things for a player to deal with.
Shut the **** up, monkeyDecadeRiptide wrote: β February 18th, 2026, 22:47What is vtmb
I can't think of any RPG where u have no equipment.
Do u mean like only a default set or like you run around with Ur fists or what
Does a bomb count?
You also got an accessory slot.DemoGraph wrote: β February 20th, 2026, 11:58FF7. You have 1 weapon, 1 trinket and... I don't remember, maybe this is it? They haev materia slots, so are customizable, but the slots themselves are very limited.
