@Manny V says Dunmer is the 'canon Nerevarine choice iho'. Well here's some of his people every time I leave the base at night.
► Show Spoiler
The canon Nerevarine is a Bosmer.
Septim News Network interrupts this program for breaking news.

Corprus still rages across Vvardenfell. Every day there're new mentions of victims of this latest coronavirus strain leaking blood out of their orifices. Every day there're new mentions of unvaccinated persons sprouting trunks out of them. Only today six more victims were found in Ald Velothi. This morning our interviewer managed to ask Mr. Dagoth J. Ur about these events.
- Horrible, just horrible. - Mr. Ur replied. - Good thing that Dagoth F. Gares Jr. leads our campaign of historic reforms and would soon restore faith in domestic solutions.
- Don't you think it goes a little bit slow?
- We're doing things thats nobody been able to do. We're fighting the great Ayleid virus that nobody was able to defeat. The Imperial spells didn't work. The Nordic spells didn't work. Everyone's trying to figure out "why it didn't work".
- But!..
- Remember Sleepy Sotha? He did nothing about the issue. And Crazy Almie still runs around telling poor folks that her herbal remedy based vaccine is completely safe. Yes, completely safe! And completely useless! And imperial anti-plague spells? Remember, folks, Mr Gares recently testified that they only provoke vaginal bleeding and dementia!
- What about the latest rumours?
- This horrible Ayleid virus has no relation, I repeat, no relation whatsoever to peaceful research conducted in our research facilities throughout Tamriel.
- And what's going on there?
- Unlike other out there, who are all talk and no action, we're building a new tool, a tool no other country has. No other country has the skill. No other country has the guts. And no other country has the extraordinary professionals that we have. These professionals are assembling a super duper giant robot. They're doing it as we speak. This robot would get into the heart of the matter, handle the culprits of this horrible plague and let Dunmer take their rightful place in the world. Make Resdaynia great again!

MaRGA hats and orange sun masks are still all the rage this season.
It's especially so among Camonna Tong radicals. Recently they had organized another march, some say riot, in Balmora in support of restoration of slavery. Our correspondent had talked with local khajiit about this situation.
Ra'Virr: I was so scared, I had to use the double dose of sugar! How am I going to pay the taxes now? And the guards! They say that they would deport me to Telvanni lands!

What? Sorry! We interrupt our breaking news for even more breaking news!

Meet Gorg-e from the house of F'oldt, a husband to at least thirteen wives, a self-identified *****-argonian (hiss/hist) and a true pillar of Redguard community. Due to his mostly peaceful tendencies he calls himself Never-warrin' and is staunchly opposed to imperialistic agenda of the current administration of this kingdom.

Our correspondent had recently came into contact with Never-warrin' and his compatriots on their quest for whistleblower investigations into the matter of corprus.

His last mission? To enter the 6th House compound under the Ur Tower. The team kept contact via farspeak spell. Never-warrin' had successfully penetrated the deepest facilities under the Red mountain, liberating the most prized possessions of house Dagoth. Then he was discovered. Our source reports hearing a short blade exchange and horrible screams of "You won't be able to breath in lava n'wah!" (excuse us for transmitting the most heinous "hard-H" word) and the roar of drain fatigue and telekinesis spells, highly likely from Dagoth security forces. The connection was lost and the team feared the worst. But soon a series of explosions were heard rocking the facility and a piece of gigantic metal hand and "Ur Tower" signpost fell from the sky on the outskirts of Vivec city.
Scrying spells weren't able to penetrate the tornado of aedric energies that rose around the tower. Never-warrin' location is currently unknown. According to his spokeslave, Lord Ur is also unavaiable for comments.

We keep monitoring the situation as it unfolds.
Stay tuned.

If you are doing the House Redoran quests and can't find Brara Morvayn. The door to her house is covered on the mini-map by the one above it to Galsa Gindu's house. Just look under the stairs.

I wish there were a few more tapestries or something to aid with navigation inside Redoran's giant crab shell building. Aside from that I like the area's design.

Under-Skar is one of my favourite places in Morrowind besides Vivec. My only complaint is the **** bridge walkway. The guards always block it

The Under-Skar interiors specifically are my favorites. Spacious, well lit, colorful compared to most of the rest of Morrowind's drab palette, and surprisingly cheerful considering how (relatively) downtrodden House Redoran is presented in game.

I made a book and scroll replacer last time I played Morrowind, I might upload it, does anyone else want it? I know there's a few others out there, but I always prefered my own

Should be pretty simple. Let me know if you have any issues with it.

I'll add some more screenshots later. Maybe.

I've begun the latter half of my playthrough and am starting to venture into Sixth House bases on the reg. Their aesthetic is great; the red and black interlaced designs on their artifacts is ominous and alien. Nothing in Oblivion or Skyrim came close and they definitely thought they tried with the black and red motifs featured in Oblivion.
Amazing what a little bit of tinkering with the lighting will do.

The reality is that a lot of guys played Morrowind, among other games, and then trooned out along the way and still kept playing or modding Morrowind. I've seen this happen in real time during my more active presence in the scene. It shouldn't ruin your enjoyment, that's mentally submitting to the utterly pathetic "power" ******** actually possess.

Both Steam and GOG have Morrowind on sale for the next couple of days:

Morrowind on GOG.

The Steam copy seems to have the higher discount at the moment. Although the GOG version comes with the extra official plugins, I think you can just get bug fixed versions of them in a pack from here:
Unofficial Morrowind Official Plugins Patched

Just make sure you disable all the official plugins (Not the expansion packs, they're fine) if you're using the community patched versions or they'll conflict.

I agree with you about the lighting. Exploring the bleak Sixth House tunnels lit only by those dim red candles creates an excellent sense of foreboding. The design of the Sixth House's forces is really horrifying as well. At first they just appear to be run of the mill human cultists, but then you get attacked by a misshapen creature with a hollowed out face and it becomes clear this Corprus plague isn't just a disease...

I step out to deal with some Real Estate nonsense and some shoveling after being hammered by a recent snowfall and find one of Manny's people sitting down at Shenk's with a platter of Moon Sugar...

shift_done_getting_spinny2.png

Looking over to his right I see what appears to be an off duty Legion Soldier with his own platter having a Skooma 'n Sugar party of his own...

What in the **** is goin' on !?

Thanks but that doesn't resolve the matter of me getting jumped by a venom spitting leech which jumped out of a green pool, and barely surviving. Although I must say - very realistic.

hit chance depends on agility and your weapon skill. Don't use a dagger unless you picked short blades during the character creation.

well there's also an axe inside a stump near the lighthouse (iirc). There's a cave with bandits located close to Silt Strider station, though they may be too hard for you to defeat. You can also use magic if you have it, some races have innate magic abilities.

Oh so that's why getting a warhammer which I was actually specced for made a monumental difference in my damage output :pipe-thinking:
