Apparently there's a recent DLC update for MGS3 HD that is said to include the original, uncompressed textures. If true that's really neat, but it comes in at a whopping 70GB (!)

That's a lot of gb for something that results in minimum improvement. I'll take the blur and lower file size when I get around to it.

It's a novelty for those who want to experience MGS3 at it's absolute best, with the original assets. If you're an MGS superfan who doesn't play a lot of games, and has 70GB to spare, why not?

The thing is they move to our countries while keeping the regional pricing from whatever shithole they came from making them richer than us. Steam doesn't force a region update even for years if ever at all.

Randomly decided to check my Steam inventory and had like a dozen CS2 lootcrates and a $25 gun skin. I have never really ****** with Steam marketplace, I didn't realize that people buy stuff like that within seconds of listing it
So I'm pretty happy, I have played probably <50 hours of Counter Strike since CS:S was no longer current, so I was pretty surprised to have had $100 worth of random **** in my inventory and that 10+ listings sold that quick

I also appreciate how it has become common in Eastern RPGs to give the player a clear warning about what is coming up.

Now is a good time to adjourn the game for the night and go to bed, rather than stay up until 4 in the morning as the Sanderlanche happens. I am glad HSR is doing it now too.

Trails: "Upon proceeding to the theater, all of the current sidequests will expire, and NPCs will move around". THANK YOU! Now I can go double check I haven't missed anything and drop a backup save here. Or the "Please have at least three parties of characters outfitted before proceeding into the next room." THANK YOU! Now I can go gear up and double check everybody's builds, rather than going in and watching 45 minutes of cutscenes and then getting into a climatic final showdown with three parties and no way to buy more gear for them at the deployment screen. Xenoblade also gives you a warning about which sidequests will expire soon if you keep progressing the plot. I don't have to keep alt+tabbing between a walkthrough on the order in which to do things.

Purchased it awhile back based on an IRL recommendation. The aesthetic/art style didn't bother me, but the screen clutter wasn't really my thing. Seems like it would be fun for a dedicated group of friends all with a knack for pattern recognition and strong reflexes.

Tbh they're only doing that because of cUK pushing a law to further totalitarian control under the guise of "think of the children".
This is while they're simultaneously saying children of the same age (and lower) have enough agency to vote, and also decide their gender without input from their parents.
