Not enough furries
Bad writing (this is 95% of games)
Unskippable cutscenes
Unskippable, forced/too long tutorial
Objective "line" marker leading to objectives
Pronouns
Body type A/B (I make an exception if the game is really good and doesn't suffer from the other problems but it still annoys me unreasonably)
Pay2Win (gacha, power ups, OP DLC armor)

I don't get what this release is. Is it supposed to be a new full Silent Hill or just a side project.

They put "how to walk" and "here's how to operate the phase coupler to disable the trilithium power supply" under that same ******* setting
Well, I mean, they're both pretty basic. You just reverse the polarity on the neutron flow, and then bounce a graviton particle beam off the main deflector dish.

Nothing makes me immediately DROP the game, but plenty of things will immediately push me away from the game. The first and foremost thing that comes to mind lately is PEOPLE WITH NO NOSES. If the game features NOSELESS PEOPLE, I will definitely keep moving and not look any further. Because you know how people with no noses smell? TERRIBLE.

It's very obnoxious, isn't it? Forces you to stop playing and figure out what those abilities actually DO instead of sorting it out later.

Any modern audiences writing and/or characters (if it has ******** in it and it's not called pf:WotR it's going to the **** list. WotR gets a mod to fix that).
Dike looking characters, effeminate men, ugly women in main cast, etc.
Objective "line" marker leading to objectives and other slop looking UI.
Friendslop unless I'm getting it for free from the person who desires to eat ze slop.
Anything battle royale adjacent or full PvP loot adjacent.
Body type A/B (may get an exception if it's the only problem and the game is good, but it's auto negative rating on review regardless of how good the game is).
Pay2Win generally, although I do mess around with some games that could be classified like this (lost ark). Depends on how painful it is to play for free.

Besides all the woke gay commie ****, which would lead me to not picking up a game in the first place, the biggest thing is endless tutorials, text popups, or extensive babying of the player.

I want to get into a game and start exploring and learning the mechanics myself through gameplay.

A lot of the features that modern devs incorporate for "immersion" or "realism" make me often drop games if they can't be turned off. Things like head bobbing, gun sway, motion blur, etc.

The game pauses for like an entire 2 seconds when you attack an enemy. Developers add this in every game now and it always looks really bad.

This. I miss the trial and error of figuring things out making a new play through more rewarding with knowledge of the game.

I thought that was just poorly optimized dogshit where the collision and damage calculations overwhelm the computer and cause the game to stutter.

Games that needs to run on Win10 or 11.

Developer is from Taiwan or China. (Vote of no confidence for contemporary Chinese games)

Story about "fighting inner demons and healing personal trauma".

Writing that makes characters say a lot but express very little.

Romanization that makes English ugly
× Takahashi ○ Write plain "高橋", or "Highbridge", or make up a proper English name
× Seungyeon ○ The **** is this character salad? Make an English name
× Zongzi ○ "Rice dumpling"
× Megami Tensei	○ Goddess Reborn

Transliteration that makes Chinese ugly
× 吉坦 特萊巴爾	○ Zidane Tribal (I don't like the choice of characters, also it feels like salad)
When I played only English and Japanese were available so I picked English.
If I were to play today I might try crawling through the Japanese version.

Localization that rewrites story
× Ace Attorney ○ Verdic Reverse (What a proper title should have been)
I played the fan Chinese translation in the past. I certainly will not play the English version today.

Bad Western practice
Writing native name in original order then reverse it when romanized, which only causes confusion.
In Chinese we don't change name order to our own, it's always Tom Cruise (湯姆 克魯斯), never Cruise Tom.

I hate when games have 'puzzles' but basically spell them out for you. Was a real issue in the RE4 Remake I played through recently. The solutions were literally highlighted in green and they were all laid out in a straight path ahead of you. It made the game really boring. There was yellow paint thrown all over the map as well to let the player know where they can go and what they can interact with. It was so overdone someone made a mod to get rid of the yellow paint.

Lunar Eclipse is a small indie game that focuses on puzzles. It is good because the puzzles are done in a way that doesn't treat you like an infant, you actually have to use your head. Unfortunately too many ******* had a go at the game and left a bad review because they were too stupid to get passed the first puzzle. The first puzzle was so easy it took me like 2 minutes, and that was before the developers made it "easier".

I think games need to start including an 'idiot mode' or something. Games are too boring for smart people when the puzzles are made for babies, and they are too hard for low iq people when the puzzles are made properly.

Layers upon layers of tutorial information like in Nioh 2.

That game had so many tutorial pop ups with massive walls of text and they literally opened like tabs and new windows in a browser. Dropped it. And I liked the first one.

Any hint of DEI or woke jew mental cancer and I'm out. Anything that Microslop, Activision, EA, Sony, Embracer group has touched or has Black rock or Vanguard as an large investor goes into the trash, so pretty much everything new these days.

Unskippable garbage dialogue. Just gimme the option man, it's not that hard! (Looking at you Genshin)

Pixelslop. It's not charming anymore, it's a far less detailed way to portray ingame visuals that devs had little choice but to work with due to the limited technology of the time. JRPG devs in particular (Octopath, Triangle Strategy, Dragon Quest remakes) can't seem to leave the 1980s. Kudos to western RPG devs like Owlcat and Obsidian and Larian and ATOM and Neocore who got the memo.

Complicated control scheme with unbindable keys (I hope Crimson desert doesn't suffer from this issue), not able to sweep grind dungeons + no skip for crap side stories (Another Eden comes to mind, although it has a voucher system for sweep it can mostly be obtained from battle pass and is limited otherwise), flashy colorful chaotic UI like Persona 5 and Metaphor.
