Back when I played the demo - yes, it was nothing like a crpg. It was real time combat game where you would cycle through your characters and have a vagrant-story like system where you'd stop time and get a shimmering sphere to show you the attack distance of your current weapon. It was difficult to manage the party since control limited you to one character at a time. Perhaps this was changed.
Looks awesome. The art reminds me a bit of Wallace and Gromit and that one movie with the chickens that are trying to escape. Claymation is underappreciated.
I actually really like the look. I appreciate deliberate art direction over Unity/Unreal attempts at "photorealistic" slop. Wishlisting this one and keeping an eye out for the full release.
Updates are looking pretty nice, I bought the game very early on but it was pretty basic and content was a void. Enjoyed what I experienced, just needed more and a heavy duty of polishing. Honestly, just relieved to have something to play that isn't a ******* carbon copy of something else.
The critters look ugly in a fairy tale kind of way, not that they're ugly out of spite against Good Things. I'm still confused what sort of game this is...
Didn't assume it was a real shot, but now I appreciate it a lot more. And now that there's a good bit available I hope to finally get around to playing it. At the time I last played there was two zones and and some annoying bugs, but that was a few days after the EA launch. I'm very curious how much of the core systems have been tweaked since then.
I think it looks great. Now I'll wait for gamer's reviews to know if it's hiding anything shady, like **** and *******. If it's safe, I'll buy it full price.
It still says EA but someone here said it would be released in January...? What's the craic?
