My only exposure to Platinum Games is playing that fuckawful 2014 Legend of Korra game.
They only made one good game anyways, don't worry about it.

I've started Fallout 1 & 2 many times and have never finished either. Had a lot of fun playing them though. I do this with a lot of games.

I consider this a good game, full of the type of choice and consequence and multiple paths and different endings that people here would like. Unfortunately, it is swimming in woke propaganda and very clearly coded as such, so there's no point in suggesting it for Adventurer's Guild:

I usually play CRPGs at story mode difficulty because my smooth brain ******* sucks at reading a spreadsheet to understand what build I should use. I'm also a cheat engine addict because I hate any form of farming, I guess 10 years of Runescape made me start to hate it.

Playing story mode is more honorable than playing on the highest difficulty with a looked-up build

I haven't actually beaten half the Elden Ring bosses on my own. I just summoned people to fight the bosses for me, even though I talk big in front of the fellas at the bar *breaks down crying*

I used to keep deleting and remaking my character due to overwhelming perfectionism. If the light in the CC didn't show a fault I saw later: delete. I was extremely proficient at speedrunning 1/3 of every game with a CC Ive played. I largely grew out of it.

I think the hairstyles given in CCs cause most of the issues, because they tend to suck and aren't even whimsical to make it funny. They seem like they were meant to be funny, but the author has failed at that.

I can spend hours in a character creator. Like, we're talking 3+ sometimes, it's wild.

And I love Final Fantasy XIII. Beautiful game, beautiful soundtrack.
I hate them.

I tend to spend more time in editor than in the game.
I've spent ungodly amount of time inventing biome-specific styles for randomly occurring villages in Minecraft and beautifying them accordingly.
I don't like competitive games, because it's suboptimal to roleplay in them.

I played through them all in order about a decade ago. My first one being the PSP remaster of the first game.

I really enjoyed the XIII trilogy. I get the hate with the 'hallway simulator', but didn't X have that too? I was engrossed enough with the story and gameplay, so it never bothered me.

I spent like 12 hours building parties in the Kingmaker character creator. :salute:

Second statement gave me whiplash. :groan:

Yes, yes it did and the people denying it are blinded by nostalgia.

If I'm playing a multiplayer game sometimes I do character creation ahead of time and write everything down so I don't waste everyone's time

If we had a gaming warcrimes thread, it would mostly just be Stellaris and Ribaorld.

Most Final Fantasies are very linear, it's just that XIII was very blatant about it. More so than X, which was also pretty bad about that.

I'm continually drawn to try new MMOs, and some other MP/co-op games, despite knowing full well that I'll end up playing them almost entirely solo. I love the idea of a shared world, but my playing times are so sporadic that it's pointless to attempt to do anything more than an occasional PUG.

Also, I already have a hard enough time getting into any game's story, so if it starts throwing basic fetch # and/or kill # quests at me, I start mentally checking out, and it leads me to drop the game.

These two issues, when combined, cause a super fun spiral.

No one ever in the history of anything ever has tried denying FF X was a corridor simulator. Its battle system and minigames were on a completely different level to XIII, so it gets a pass.
