The fork was only taken down on Github because I pushed files with the ****** word on an unrelated repo and got banned, btw. I was following the proper licensing per the Wabbajack repo

nah am good just been asking, since i just made the account just to comment about your creation, i thought a server that publishes updates will be better since i use discord regularly, i don't think i will use this site much. maybe if i want opinions on games or other apps like this and mods.

Glad you like WJ Unlocked. Sorry you got banned from the troonserver, but you gotta hide that you're using my fork if you're getting support from the WJ devs or talking there. I guess I would suggest reporting bugs here and not sharing you're using the Unlocked version if you're seeking support from the WJ devs, but also it's pretty funny to see the discord screenies, so maybe you guys shouldn't hide it!

Also definitely consider checking out our mod gallery and whatnot. We do open permissions here and you're free to be as vulgar as you please

Thank you, i've thought when i asked for help there that the logs file don't expose what fork i use, i didn't find anything that might resemble unlocked so i thought i was safe.
tho you gotta check out the nexus skipper thing somebody recommended to you, that might help make it better, ill recommend your app to whoever asks

Ah. Logs will still expose that your WJ is unlocked for sure, just by virtue of there being different code and possibly erroring at different points. Feel free to PM me them first in the future

Edge was chosen by the WJ Devs because everyone has it since it's built into Windows.

Removing it from Windows serves zero purpose. It's easier to just block it's executables in your firewall if you're that paranoid. In fact, that are probably tools that can do it for you.

BTW, not to defend Microsoft, but Edge is the best browser they have ever made. Far superior in every way to Internet Explorer. It's actually pretty decent, but not good enough that I'm willing to give up Firefox.

As for needing Cloudflare WARP to use WJ Unlocked, that should be completely unnecessary. I and countless others don't use it and have no problem using WJ Unlocked. You might want to re-evaluate your network config or something, because something is clearly not right on your end.

i don't like it, it pisses me off, " edge is the best browser they have ever made " because they just made only one before it, that statement means nothing, edge is "good" because it is a normal typical chromium browser.

Mozilla lets you disable all AI crap with one switch, and there's not a single mention of Google having anything to do with Firefox.

Right now there's only 2 small "features" in Firefox that use AI, they can both be turned off with a simple switch. The AI stuff shown in that PC World article has not yet been rolled out to the stable branch, it's only in the Nightly builds for now. Firefox updated last night to v147.0.3.

The text of those 2 features is as follows, both under the General settings:
Use AI to suggest tabs and a name for tab groups
Allow AI to read the beginning of the page and generate key points

i recommend using another one specially that wabbajack doesn't work on linux, so using less of microsoft's dependencies will fix a lot of windows issues AND making porting wabbajack to linux possible, if you make it that way, that will make unlocked the only and most preferable option on linux and windows

Meh i just don't like it. Specially i made my own cut down lightweight iso of windows 10 ltsc and i made complete sure that edge is NOT on it, when i installed it, added wifi and started like installing drivers and stuff, edge just installed it self and was on desktop lurking.

Note on Linux: This plan is Windows-focused. True Linux support would require porting from WPF to Avalonia/MAUI, which is a separate, much larger effort. CefSharp removes the Edge dependency, which is the immediate user pain point.

C# with XAML for the UI. It's a WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) desktop app targeting .NET 9.0 Windows
