They have a demo. The demo is receiving negative reviews for reasons unrelated to the game, having Very Positive scores prior.
Perhaps you take a few minutes to download? Perhaps you review?
I tested the demo and this is true. It's pretty funny how janky it is actually.
I don't know the literal definition of "low-fantasy", but the term leaves me with the expectation that dragons are to be extraordinarily rare, if not non-existent. Going from fighting in a jousting arena to well hello there Mr. Dragon was kind of a shock.wndrbr wrote: β January 23rd, 2026, 14:03Trailer looked good at first. Such a negative nancy, this is all very uncalled for.jcd wrote: β January 23rd, 2026, 15:31See, this game is right wing, therefore, even though it's a ****** AI slop crapfest, you MUST play this and like it, otherwise ******** will win

No. Thats what a 1.0 release is nowadays.
Low fantasy means that nobody is using a spell as a default attack. Without a dragon, it is no-fantasy.Valter wrote: β January 23rd, 2026, 15:56I don't know the literal definition of "low-fantasy", but the term leaves me with the expectation that dragons are to be extraordinarily rare, if non-existent at all. Reddit game confirmed.
Based beyond belief. I'm sure a bunch of Reddit/BlueSky ******* and whores will try to attack this game if they haven't already.

No. **** all clankers and clank-enablers. Pour water in the datacenters and drown all digijews.J1M wrote: β January 23rd, 2026, 13:55If you don't like games, that's fine. But the idea that we shouldn't play a game because AI allowed a smaller team to execute their vision is ********.
It's explicitly placeholder content, though, and advanced voice-synthesization isn't "le AI".

I left a review to balance out the luddites bombing it.
I know about them from the medieval manuscripts as being symbolic of... one of the Sins, of course. That said... not sure it still qualifies as low fantasy.Luckmann wrote: β January 23rd, 2026, 20:17No. **** all clankers and clank-enablers. I somewhat agree with this mainly because the vast majority of mainstream "art" as it is right now has been taken over by ideological leftards who have ferociously gatekept anyone who doesn't agrees with them from joining the mainstream art spheres.Unknown998 wrote: β January 23rd, 2026, 21:13I dont see why Rightists should oppose the spread of AI into the "Art" world. Had the current art scene be different, I may be more opposed to the idea of AI taking over. Similar to how I don't mind if AI leaves the English anime dub voice actors out of a job. Yes, some innocent artists will take the fall, but the vast majority of the ones who will be affected negatively by the rise of AI had it coming to them.
Most artists are leftist because of overwhelming propaganda. I prefer human artists who can be swayed over machines which can be designed from the ground up to exclude certain ideas.Unknown998 wrote: β January 23rd, 2026, 21:13I dont see why Rightists should oppose the spread of AI into the "Art" world. You're trading a temporary problem for a much stickier one. Truths will always bubble out of human creativity eventually (even in spite of the artist) because humans are organisms which are a part of nature, and you can only deny nature for so long before the consequences destroy you. The problem is self-correcting: even the most brainwashed humans die eventually, mostly without reproducing, and their worldview is overturned as its failures become too obvious to cover up. But a machine has no reality check. It will endlessly output whatever boneheaded ideology was programmed into it with until the end of time. I'm not eager to replace the natural system with a machine like that.
The combat is a little janky, but it's not bad. Attacks would sometimes not register or they would be delayed and the heavy attack would sometimes activate on its own, leaving me open to a counterattack, but I was able to dodge and parry reliably outside of that when needed. The power attacks from enemies were annoying though. You have to dodge in a particular direction depending on the attack in order to counter it, but I found it difficult to determine which attack was coming (even with the red flash warning), so I just dodged in any direction and usually avoided getting hit and sometimes getting that strong counter slash. I never lost any of the duels and the final one felt really good after 'getting gud'.
I also really liked the character interactions despite the AI voices (ma bro, Galen). Hope they get proper voice actors for the full game.
I recommend it.
There was only one hint of wokeness: one of the tournament challengers was a woman. A tall one at that. Taller than the main character. They made her really humble and not girlbossy, but still, what is a woman doing participating in a knights' martial tournament? None of the NPCs made any comments on it either when, realistically, they would be mocking the idea.

"1.0" release nowadays is charging people to do QA for them, which used to be a fulltime job 20 years ago. I think QA jobs are still a thing inside AAA studios, but they tend to be ineffective because those jobs are now outsourced to India or wherever that has an average IQ of 80.

This "own da lib" meme has really gone too far and it's time to stop now.
