I didn't play any of these.
EDIT: Oh wait, I told a lie. I played Ludus Mortis...it wasn't that good.

I didn't play any of these. Haven't you heard? Most people are backlogged by about 5-6 years. You should be listing the 2019 games instead. Did they actually remake the original Wizardry?

What a ****** year. I'm just going to assume Skald wins in a landslide unless there's a serious drova-bro presence here.
2025 is worse imo.

IThe best RPG in this list is a remake of a 20 year old game jfl Geneforge 2 has much less of the **** bloat that Geneforge, Avernum 2 and Avernum (to an extent) had.
I did enjoy Felvidek, Arco, Drova and SKALD though and Dragon Ruins was a nice chill game to play on the deck when travelling.

I haven't played a single one of them.
I've actually considered Drova, but it is "lumber" in Russian, and I'm not in the mood for Pinocchio.

Only game I've played on this list is Like a Dragon IW and it's one of the weakest instalments of the series. Don't feel like it's fair for me to vote for it since there are other games here that I'd probably enjoy a lot more like Skald, SMT V, Dragon's Dogma 2, Granblue Fantasy Relink, and Metaphor.
I hate them.
How dare you tag me!
I'm still trying to get through BG3! (But I did take a detour and play Expedition 33. Next on my list is Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous followed by Rogue Trader.)
The only game I own on this list is Last Epoch and I haven't even played it.

The only one I've played on that list, at all, is Fallen London. I haven't even played it in 5 years though.
+1 to SMT V Vengeance, Infinite Wealth, Granblue Relink, Metaphor, and Trails through Daybreak. Nine Sols is my 2024 GOTY though across all genres
I think I would kick out something for Romancing Saga 2 Revenge of the Seven but I'm not sure what. ******* great game

Drova is the only thing that's actually new instead of being a ****** imitation or just sloppa. So my votes went for it.
The King Aruther spinoff is also okay, even though it's just the exact same game as the last one. Haven't played the rest yet.

I gave nothing to Dragon's Dogma 2 until they release an expansion with the same quality as Bitter Black Isle!
I remember Capcom sending out a huge feedback form just after DD2 was released and I gave a huge presentation of how BBI impacted gameplay creating some of the most fun I have had in a video game. Upon creation of a new character in DD1, level up to 7, now the entire game takes place in BBI. Unfortunately you do have to eventually do some of the main quest in order to unlock a few things, but BBI was an amazing experience for low level characters.

Alright, alright.
Is DD2 a decent 7/10 game or just plain bad?King Crispy wrote: β January 12th, 2026, 03:14I gave nothing to Dragon's Dogma 2 until they release an expansion with the same quality as Bitter Black Isle!

I haven't played any of these. I'm pretty sure I haven't even played that particular Geneforge.

Going to have to start a New Adventurer's Guild specifically for playing recently released RPGs. Call it NAG.

It is above mid but I wouldn't call it good. It is enjoyable for the type of game it is but difficulty has always been missing from these games. If they were able to make a challenging game I would give it a 9/10.Valter wrote: β January 12th, 2026, 05:05Is DD2 a decent 7/10 game or just plain bad?King Crispy wrote: β January 12th, 2026, 03:14I gave nothing to Dragon's Dogma 2 until they release an expansion with the same quality as Bitter Black Isle!

She's so thoughtful she looked up 'woke' in the dictionary to enlighten the rest of us.
