The opening act takes place on a battlefield. If you help the militia in combat, give them healing items, or find and wear a disguise they'll be your buddies. It's pretty minor, but it does officially pass the Good Samaritan test.

https://seattleultrasonics.com/products ... hefs-knife
The C-200 is the world’s first ultrasonic chef’s knife, designed specifically for home cooks. You can’t see the blade move, you can’t hear it when it’s on, and you can’t feel any vibration in the handle. But when you press the orange button, the knife cuts with up to 50% less effort, with less sticking, and easier cleanup. When it’s on, the blade vibrates over 30,000 times a second, making the knife behave sharper than it physically is. Made from Japanese AUS-10 steel hardened to 60HRC, it’s a great knife when it’s off, too.

I used to replay these games all the time, but then kojima shat out Phantom Pain and it ruined the entire franchise for me.
Surprising that MGS2 isn't Vergil's favorite.

Oh also they announced MGS4 and Peacewalker are coming to PC with the Master Collection Vol. II.
They're also adding Ghost Babel which is a non canon gameboy spin-off for some reason?
No Portable Ops though, which is a PSP game that is actually canon so if you want the entire MGS story you still have to emulate at least one game.

Hey at least MGS4 is free from the PS3 ghetto and you can play Peacewalker Co-Ops without trying to teach your ******** friends how to use a PSP emulator!

There's a higher chance of an MGSV re-release with like, AI upscaled textures and that stupid unfinished mission tacked on than there is of a Vol III with the least played games in the franchise.

I wish konami did a proper re-release of the Team Silent era Silent Hill games, i.e. SH 1-2-3-4. But they don't care about their legacy, they would gladly bury those older games and replace them with Unreal engine over the shoulder camera remakes.

The only reason they are re-releasing the older MGS titles in a relatively unmolested state is because they are afraid that the Kojima fans are going to throw a fit if something is done wrong. SH doesn't have this kind of following, and 99% of the current fans are the absolute niggercattle who only watch the youtube retrospective essays instead of playing the actual games.
