It's wishful to think that pete was pushed out by Microsoft. (Although if he stayed around for a few more years on his bloated salary while bringing zero value, it's very likely he would of been retired by force)

Post Release is the natural time for people to leave a game company. It's generally considered bad form in this industry to leave mid-development or during the launch window. Not that he is useful in any way.. but he probably thought waiting til Starfield released was a noble sacrifice / gesture for his team or some ****.

Well yeah, doubt anyone was actually "kicked". Kicking people out means the management actually wants to do reforms.

Those two (actually more) have left by their own volition, probably realized that the jig is up. Maybe they already wanted to leave after Bethesda was bought by MS, but couldn't due to contractual obligations.

This guy has the most rose tinted blinders on possible. The reddit is on fire, the steam score is in the can. If you google Starfield it's 20 youtube videos like "Why do we keep letting Bethesda get away with this" "Worst game ever?" "The story is awful" with millions of views and likes.

It wouldn't surprise me if that's when *he* started working on the game.

Up to that point he was just ******* around "working from home" during covid doing nothing at all, finally a year before the original release date he realized he had a triple A game to write. Fast forward 2 years later and we have space ghosts and magic stones.

Nice.. can't wait for Elder Scrolls 6.. probably gonna be a Scorpion Born and have to collect the magic aeylid stones and find our foster father who went to the store to get cigarettes and never came back (he's redguard) also we start in prison (we are redguard).
